The focus of the P ZERO Race is entirely on maximum performance. The tread design is identical to that of the Tubeless Ready version of the same name, as is the rubber compound used. The P ZERO Race is made of the new SmartEVO compound. With the know-how of over 110 years of tradition in motorsport, Pirelli has put together a blend of three functional polymers with "intelligent" properties that form the basis of SmartEVO's outstanding performance. Each of the three polymers has specific performance characteristics, and when combined they guarantee the optimum balance of grip and rolling resistance. On the other hand, this model has a completely new 120 TPI nylon carcass construction, designed for use with an inner tube and in conformity with the new ETRTO standards for 19C rims (inside rim width). Performance clincher tyre that is at home on the road and fits any modern rim. Not tubeless compatible, not hookless compatible.

I bought these 1 month ago to replace manufacture supplied tyres for my bike. Very easy to fit and no need for tyre levers. I was sceptical about the claims of improved rolling resistance but can really feel the improvement, particularly during climbs. Also, good price from Sigma.

Great tyre in all weathers. Fitted to 404NSW with wheel science TPU tubes. Took a risk and used them on the RAFA 100 ride, which had lots of elevation on some gritty roads in what turned out to be horrendous weather. Excellent, assured performance throughout.

Used Pirelli's for a few years now. Always my go to tyre. Fast rolling, easy to mount and I actually can't remember the last time I had a puncture. They can wear quite quickly (roughly 2-3,000 miles for a back tyre) but this is to be expected for any summer race tyre. The 30mm tyre is great for speed and comfort on battered British roads.

I have not yet made the jump to tubeless, and have run Conti Grand Prix for 30 years prior to this. The latest TLR models are impossible to get on/off my HED or Zipp rims, so I switched to Pirelli's. After well over a year, in all conditions, and multiple sets, these feel fast and have excellent grip. Mileage has been very good (not quite as good as my last GP5000s), and while they seem quite durable on our typical trash roadways, it always feels like they aren't quite the Conti's I had before, and therefore 4 stars. Yes, they cost a bit more, also, but I'm willing to pay that to be able to get them on/off the rim without worrying about either damaging another carbon rim, or having to cut the tire.I also love the 26 size, since my bike will not fit 28's.
You cannot go wrong with the Pirelli PZero tires . Look great , perform great . I went with the green and its not the same as shown in the picture which is good . Its a true light lime green , not the darker shade shown and if you have a black , white , purple bike it perfect
Replaced my Schwalbe one with the Pirelli P Zero Race RS TR (32 mm), and I can feel a clear difference in performance. The Pirelli roles much smother, has more grip giving more confidence on descents and breaks better. And it is definitely not slower, section times seem to indicate I got a bit faster. Overall, a great road tire!
I love these tyres, Pirelli did something right. They are pretty fast, not too heavy, give me immense confidence when cornering in training and races and are very durable for what they are. Used to ride the GT5000s for years which are very similar (perhaps a bit faster) but esspecialy with the introduction of the STRs they became too delicate and would get many punctures that wouldn't seal. As such I highly recommend to everyone I ride with to give these tyres a go.
My favourite tyre of all time was the Continental GP 4000 S2 but I found it very difficult to mount on the rims I was using at the time. So when it came to replacing my current tyres (Bontrager R4 Classic), I was undecided between the Conti GP 5000 and the Pirelli P Zero Race but decided to go with the Pirelli’s having run their predecessor, the P Zero Velo, on my previous bike.I’ve now put about 150 miles on the tyres and they remind me of everything I loved about the GP 4000s - they roll well and feel fast, have excellent dry weather grip giving me bags of confidence when cornering (I haven’t ridden them in the wet so can’t vouch for their wet weather performance) and they are much more comfortable than the Bontrager R4s, noticeably muting vibration and buzz ... MoreMy favourite tyre of all time was the Continental GP 4000 S2 but I found it very difficult to mount on the rims I was using at the time. Like the P Zero Velo they were also a doddle to mount on my current wheels (Bontrager Aeolus RSL 37) without the need for levers, and touch wood I haven’t had any issues with punctures. As for tyre pressures I’ve got the 28s and am running them at 65 psi (21mm internal rim width on the wheels). I’m already loving the tyres and would definitely buy them again.
Bought these a few weeks (Jan) back and have ridden 3 times. First ride was really impressive, they are extremely comfortable compared to the 4seasons they replaced and I was really happy. 2nd ride was in cold damp conditions, by and large they performed like the first ride but on one right corner the front tyre slid out. A little scary, but I put it down to damp road conditions. Then my third ride in 10 degrees no rain but a little damp leftover from morning frost, i again was taking a tight corner, still thinking about the previous ride I slowed right down to take the corner and then I went completely A over T as the front tyre slid out from under me. Really poor and a huge shame (and very painful). Will need to replace for the remainder of the winter at least ... MoreBought these a few weeks (Jan) back and have ridden 3 times. For a long time I used tyres from other manufacturers without paying attention to exact specifications. I was mainly concerned with puncture protection. This time I took a gamble and I am very satisfied! In combination with the TPU inner tubes, the bike behaves completely differently! Very good control, great speed, beautiful, classic look and so far no punctures! A very successful purchase that I can confidently recommend to anyone!
