Pirelli P Zero Race TLR RS Tyre - Black 700 x 30mm
The P Zero Race TLR RS is Pirelli's very fastest tyre! Developed in collaboration with World Tour Teams, including Lidl-Trek, this high-performance road bike tyre ensures maximum speed and control. SmartEVO 2 compound The SmartEVO2 compound is Pirelli's most advanced race compound and consists of three different polymers whose perfect blend makes for optimal performance. This compound is used by the professional riders of Lidl-Trek and other teams, and offers optimal grip in addition to low rolling resistance. As such, it gives you perfect control of your bike in all weather conditions. SpeedCore construction SpeedCore is a high-performance tubeless-ready construction by Pirelli with a unique design where an aramid layer is added to the tyre's rubber. This structure not only provides strength and support but also ensures comfortable and smooth handling with minimum rolling resistance and maximum traction. This is combined with a 120 TPI nylon carcass for optimal puncture resistance. Test results Compared to the previous P Zero Race TLR tubeless road bike tyre, this version is much improved both in terms of speed and weight. The latest tests show that the P Zero Race TLR RS has a 16% lower rolling resistance than its predecessor and an 8% lower weight. The 28 mm version, for example, weighs only 290 grams. Tubeless-ready The P Zero Race TLR RS road bike tyre can be used with inner tubes but also tubeless, the latter being the fastest and lightest option. The new TLR construction increases puncture protection as well as speed. In addition, the tyre has a new bead design, making it even better suited to modern rims. As such, it is a perfect airtight tyre that is reliable and easy to mount.

After doing too much research, this tyre is supposed to be fast rolling, grippy and puncture resistant, and so far after 4 rides this appears to be correct. They were easy to fit tubeless and stayed inflated, with no bleeding thru sidewalls. Really enjoying.

Replying to the other review, the 26mm tires should never be pumped up to 100psi and that's probably why they blew off. In contrast, I run 28s and inflate to about 60psi for smooth tarmac and less for broken roads or wet. They are extremely grippy and smooth with tons of control in tight crit corners. They manage to be smooth and supple while still feeling taught. These are some of the best and fastest road tires out there at the moment. They also do great at avoiding punctures.Whole heatedly recommend this for serious racers. They also mount easily enough though not the easiest though you can inflate them with a floor pump and no sealant to get them started.

Have ridden Conti GP 4 & 5000s and Schwalbe Pro Ones, Pirelli P Zero are just as good if not better in some areas. I decided to try them because of the difficulty mounting Conti GP5000s (even Schwalbe too) on some wheels. Pirelli were much better not loose or easy but definitely better than Conti.Pirelli grip really well (I do not ride on wet roads unless I get caught while riding) and best of all they are SILENT, when rolling, which is a nice change vs other brands that have a road "humm".I set them up tubeless just like the others with no difficulty setting the bead.Only challenge, especially the last year or so was availability.

Fitted these 30mm Pirelli Zero Classic TLR's with some latex inner tubes with noticeably positive results, both smoother and quieter than 32mm Conti Grandsport Race clinchers with butyl tubes. Running 70psi front and rear as per the Pirelli guide for my weight. Had to get the bike shop to fit the tyres however as being TLR makes them very tight on the rim vs PZero Race clincher tyres.
Replaced my Schwalbe one with the Pirelli P Zero Race RS TR (32 mm), and I can feel a clear difference in performance. The Pirelli roles much smother, has more grip giving more confidence on descents and breaks better. And it is definitely not slower, section times seem to indicate I got a bit faster. Overall, a great road tire!
I’ve used these tyres most days for about 30 days, and five of those days were on a cycling holiday in Girona. In London, they’ve punctured constantly, required several tubeless pluggings, given next to no grip in the wet, and honestly been a total nightmare. In Girona they rolled smoothly, felt great, super smooth and ultra fast. So hard to rate properly, definitely wouldn’t recommend on UK roads but I’ll be putting them on again for future trips abroad with better road conditions mix
These are fast grippy tyres and so far(touch wood) I haven’t punctured. The only downside was fitting them to my rims, once mounted they inflated with a track pump but mounting them was a nightmare,I needed a lot of force to get them on.I have bought some extra strong tyre levers to take out with me and they stretch a little after a few hundred miles
These p-Zero tubeless are fantastic! Like many cyclists the roads I ride on are pretty crap. Wih the 32,s i can lower the pressure o smooth he ride. These tires are responsive and grippy and ligh as far as ubelrss goes. hough I am not fast anymore the saved wats let me ride longer. I highly rcommend.
I have a few thousand miles and a single century on these tires, and I have to say I love them. Fast, durable, and relatively easy to setup tubeless for a tubeless newbie. I got these as an alternative to the Conti 5000s, and unless the Continentals become much cheaper I doubt I'll go back. I've been riding the 26c and even though they're technically closer in size to the 25c, I feel like they're a good middle ground between the 25 & 28.
The other day I left a one or two line review. I'll try to add to that. I really like how quiet the tire rolls. Fast as all the other Premium Road tires (I've ridden Conti GP 4000 & 5000 - 1st version tubeless + Schwalbe Pro Ones - tubeless). They corner on rails and feel good doing it. Mounting is easier than Conti GP5000 1st gen which are by far the hardest of all. Can't comment about handling in the wet, as I do not ride in bad weather unless I get caught out. I have ridden on damp (from overnight rain) roads without any issue. I ride Tubeless 28s. Pirelli provide an Inflation guide it's part of the box - VERY helpful.
