Pirelli P Zero Race Tubeless Ready Tyre - 700x32
The P Zero Race TLR is the first high-performance all-round tubeless road bike tyre in the Pirelli line-up. After several years of research and road testing, in collaboration with both the men's and women's teams of the Mitchelton-Scott and Trek-Segafredo cycling teams, Pirelli is supplementing its performance road bike tires with a top-class tubeless tyre. The P Zero Race TLR is a true all-rounder, the ideal tire for optimum performance all year round, packed with technical innovations in the field of puncture protection, construction and rubber compound. The P Zero Race delivers a lot of grip, flexibility and comfort in combination with above-average protection against punctures, high durability and low weight. The P Zero Race TLR is therefore suitable for both training and competition. Accurate and innovative Pirelli has fully developed the information on sizing on all types of wheels, the intended use and the tyre pressure in order to make a recommendation as accurate as possible. That is why Pirelli does not conform to the standard dimensions of 23, 25 and 28 mm, but gives the actual tyre size as precisely and accurately as possible on the basis of the latest ETRTO standards. Pirelli supplies a very extensive table with all the information you need for these tires on the packaging made of sustainable cardboard. This allows you to precisely adjust the tyre pressure to the conditions and your own weight to really get the maximum performance from the Race TLR.

These are real tires, every company claims to strike the perfect balance of attributes but Pirelli comes closest in my opinion. The road feel may not be quite as nice as some tires (S-works, GP5000TLs) but the durability more than makes up for it, I’ve been using them on two bikes and have run over glass, rocks, etc. and only had one puncture which I was able to plug and the tire is still going strong. Pirelli states these are three season tires but if you’re careful they can survive winter conditions. The rolling resistance is slightly higher than the top all rounders but if you are running them tubeless at lower pressures then the good news is the rolling resistance increases less than most tires as pressures drop. I have not felt like they have been holding me ... MoreThese are real tires, every company claims to strike the perfect balance of attributes but Pirelli comes closest in my opinion. I have not felt like they have been holding me back at all at 70 psi.I’m using these 28mm tires on Enve Foundation 45s and they measured 27.4mm when first installed, surprising since I was expecting them to be 29mm with the 21mm internal width of the rims. The hookless interface must make them size up differently unless I got undersized tires. They don’t quite satisfy the rule of 105 (102 on the 45s) but it’s nice to know the aerodynamics aren’t completely shot. These also hold air as well or better than most of the tubeless tires I’ve used, on both hooked and hookless rims with Muc-off sealant. I’ve only lost about 5psi in a week with temperatures ranging from 27 to 40F

Replying to the other review, the 26mm tires should never be pumped up to 100psi and that's probably why they blew off. In contrast, I run 28s and inflate to about 60psi for smooth tarmac and less for broken roads or wet. They are extremely grippy and smooth with tons of control in tight crit corners. They manage to be smooth and supple while still feeling taught. These are some of the best and fastest road tires out there at the moment. They also do great at avoiding punctures.Whole heatedly recommend this for serious racers. They also mount easily enough though not the easiest though you can inflate them with a floor pump and no sealant to get them started.

Fitted these 30mm Pirelli Zero Classic TLR's with some latex inner tubes with noticeably positive results, both smoother and quieter than 32mm Conti Grandsport Race clinchers with butyl tubes. Running 70psi front and rear as per the Pirelli guide for my weight. Had to get the bike shop to fit the tyres however as being TLR makes them very tight on the rim vs PZero Race clincher tyres.

Bought these and have used for about three months. Good and bad experience so far.Grip is brilliant and way better than the other leading brand I used prior to the Pirelli’s. Rolling resistance is good and they are a smoother ride. The not so good is the punctures I’ve had. I expect some from time to time. The first was a few mills and my sealant couldn’t deal with it. I use silca which is one of the best in practical tests on utube. Next I got a side wall puncture somehow. No idea as the piercing was right up the side. Anyhow now replacing the rear tyre for the newer model and will see how they work.
Replaced my Schwalbe one with the Pirelli P Zero Race RS TR (32 mm), and I can feel a clear difference in performance. The Pirelli roles much smother, has more grip giving more confidence on descents and breaks better. And it is definitely not slower, section times seem to indicate I got a bit faster. Overall, a great road tire!
Excellent tubeless road tyres.Good grip. Comfortable at the right pressure - weighing close around 70kg 60psi at the back and 4 less at the front works well for me look good roads. Could go down by 5psi for more comfort pm bad roads.Rear the totaled with snake bite at 3,000 km, otherwise looked good for another 2,000km. Front tyre at 3,500km still going strong. Before the snake bite, due to a sharp put hole edge that I saw too late to evade, not a single puncture - at least no incident with sealant sprayed on the bike or elsewhere. Overall looks like a tyre that is fairly robust.Testing showed that rolling resistance is one of the best.Best price on the web at Tredz with quick delivery and good packaging. What's not to like? Finally, one more thing: DO NOT get ... MoreExcellent tubeless road tyres.Good grip. It loses puncture protection and as a result punctures very easily. An excellent tyre gets transformed into an useless one - at least in my view. I had two flat tyres on my 40km commute to work, and this happened not only on one occasion. The weight saving of the SL version is negligible and simply not worth it.
I love these tyres, Pirelli did something right. They are pretty fast, not too heavy, give me immense confidence when cornering in training and races and are very durable for what they are. Used to ride the GT5000s for years which are very similar (perhaps a bit faster) but esspecialy with the introduction of the STRs they became too delicate and would get many punctures that wouldn't seal. As such I highly recommend to everyone I ride with to give these tyres a go.
These tyres made me understand how much difference a good pair of tyres makes. Absolutely love these!! They transformed my bike, and my previous tyres were great to begin with. But these are sooo much more comfortable to ride on and nice and grippy, yet still VERY fast. The only thing to be wary of (only reason I didn't give 5 stars) is that they are very susceptible to slashing. For the most part, its fine, and if you're running tubeless, the sealant holds up, but it just looks very concerning. For a couple of slashes that just kept slowly weeping, I've repaired them from the inside and they're fine, so they do hold up well. These are actually my second pair, packed away for future use, because the first set are still going great, and I knew I wanted to keep ... MoreThese tyres made me understand how much difference a good pair of tyres makes. I was told to expect around 1000 miles out of the S-Works Turbo Rapid Air tires that I started with. If you look at the review of those tires, you'll see a picture of one customer that had blistering after a short time. Same here. Went with these P Zero tires and have nothing but praise for them. Set them on the dash of my car for twenty minutes to warm them up and they slipped right on the rim without using any levers. I prefer Stans Race, so I didn't have to worry about (1) trying to get it through the stem, or, (2) making a puddle around my feet. Running fifteen pounds (front) and ten pounds (rear) below the pressure on the label makes for a very comfortable ride. Twenty mph corners are very sure and stable. After changing out of the Specialized, I ran the rest of the entire outdoor season on one set (2500 miles). Looking at them, there's still more life, but I'll probably start out fresh in the spring and see how long they go. I got one massive goat head in there and when I pulled it out the air started to escape. Turned the tire over and in seconds the Stans stopped it. Lost 8 pounds. Would have been less if I hadn't hesitated. FWIW, at 90 lbs, the 26c measures 27.124 OD
Bought a pair of these from Tredz - they were actually the cheapest about for tubeless. They were delivered quickly with no dramas ( as per usual ).Went for 28mm instead of my usual 25mm tyres or the 26mm P Zero's I had before.Relatively easy to fit & had no hassles putting sealant into them or 'popping ' them onto the rims. Went out on them for 2 different rides & was really happy with them. Gripped well, handled just as you'd want tyres to & comfortable-so much so.My 3rd ride on them was the coast to coast the other weekend. It rained heavily, constantly & bitterly. Did think how the tyres would hold up in the rivers that had replaced the 'roads' we were riding, but I soon forget about that & just enjoyed the ride . Not once did I have to worry about the P Zeros - I just enjoyed them.Have already sang their praises to some of my friends & would certainly recommend them.
