Would have been a good drop shot box if it weren’t for the cheap plastic doors.I got this 728 box for my birthday in January of this year. It didn’t make it through June. Before someone say it, I am in no way rough with my tackle !! This is just poor quality. The plastic handles on the see through doors were not made for repetition. They will snap off leaving you with a worthless compartment.Very disappointed with Plano for this type of quality.

I like the Tackle Storage System... and the removable internal 3650 organizing boxes. This allows me to purchase extra organizing boxes and only take the tackle for the fish that I am targeting (e.g. catfish or crappie or bass).Unfortunately, it was damaged (see picture) and walmart.com did not have another in stock. The damage prevented the front door from opening smoothly. I returned it to the store for a refund and subsequently purchased this product elsewhere.5 star for the idea product, -1 star for durability (it was damaged easily).

I love this idea, I have this and a 737. The interchangeable plano boxes are a great. But don't overload it or bang the latches. It's made of plastic and it will crack or break. The latches on my 737 broke about 2 seconds after it was handed across the water to me on my boat. If it had broken I would have lost $100s in lures and tackle. Our solution, we put it in a cart when we need to carry it more than a few feet and we hold it from the bottom when we transport it to my boat. If you do this it's be a great tackle box for you.
PROS: It's just the right size/weight. The front door folds down and slides under the box so you don't inadvertently step on it while it's open. The individual boxes slide into the box at a downward angle (hence the name Angled StowAway System. ). The extra compartments on the top are really handy to quickly access often used items.CONS: The vertical storage spaces on each side do not come with a compartment tray. The vertical storage spaces are not any standard size, so you just can't go out and buy two more compartment trays. Even Plano doesn't offer compartment trays to fit in the vertical storage areas. The storage areas are deep, so though you can fit several small boxes inside, they're very hard to access when at the back.
The most frustrating part of having a fish box is getting the things inside wet. I'm a saltwater person and every time I go out on the small boat, we get soaked. Finally, I found a fish box that didn't require cleaning and washing all of my equipmentOn the bigger boat, this isn't a problem, but on the 14 footer, I'm always wet. I love this small boat and needed a fish box that is light weight, holds a lot of stuff and mostly stays dry. It works.

I actually purchased this for use as a watch tools and parts box which is replacing a traditional smaller Plano tackle box.This box is solid quality constructed and efficiently designed. The utility boxes are sufficiently sized and include sleeves for sizing the compartments to meet your needs. I really like that the utility boxes are positioned at an angle which makes for easy removal. The storage under the top lid and behind the 2 side doors in the front is spacious.An important note also is that all my watch tools, parts, bracelets/bands/straps, etc easily fit in this box with room for more. I love this angled Plano stowaway tote! It has lots of room for various sizes of items, and each included Plano container has dividers that meet the surface of the lid, so that tiny items don’t end up in other sections if the container is tipped over.
The two top compartments fill up with water when out in rain due too poor latch design. The main top compartment latch’s don’t seal the compartment correctly. I Believe its a poor buy.
I'm not using this for tackle.I'm using it as a storage chest for storing bulk diabetic supplies for my son.I needed somthing compact, portable, durable, and with adjustable storage for keeping sharps and testing strips, user manuals, etc., organized both for around the house and to take back and forth when visiting family.It works great!Tons of room, lots of organizational features, sturdy design, light to carry, and great visibility do you can see what you need and grab it quickly.To anyone out there with diabetes who's looking for a good storage option, I highly recommend a tackle box (and this one is huge, durable, and super convenient).
