So, I've been testing out the Savi 8200 Office wireless headset and I gotta say, it's pretty awesome! This thing has a crazy wireless range of up to 590 feet, and you can connect it to your computer, desk phone, and mobile phone all at once. It's perfect for big offices or if you're always on the go.The sound quality is legit too. It's got noise-canceling microphones that filter out any annoying background noise, so you can chat with your coworkers or clients without any distractions. And the speakers are top-notch - they deliver clear and immersive sound.I also really appreciate how comfortable it is to wear. The headband is lightweight and the ear cushions are super soft. It's definitely a great choice if you need a reliable headset for work.

I'm currently only sitting a few feet from the USB dongle so I don't believe it is a range issue regarding the the sound. The microphone quality is typical for a headset microphone. If all you need is the built in microphone then this will get the job done.Final Thoughts - Could I justify the price of the headset for the designed purpose of this headset. Honestly I'd have to say no, there are just so many cheaper options out there that can check all the boxes that this headset is intended to cover.

I chose this one because it does not have a repetitive beep alerting you to being on mute. It does remind you that you are on mute at a reasonable interval of like 10 min (I don't know but it is a long time and not intrusive). The earpiece is a little sensitive to heat. Could create sweat that is annoying. However, that is also a feature not a bug. I chose the single ear style so that I could switch ears every couple hours easily. This has been more than sufficient for the previous concern of heat building up on your ear from the weather. It's not a hot ear from the device, more a comment about your climate in your office or porch.range: I did hope for a larger range with this device. However, I have the base in the basement and the nearby sidewalks are a good 50ft to 100 ft away with many walls to penetrate. So I should not be surprised that I cannot get reception walking my dog in the backyard with the base near the front of the home. I'm still very happy with the range because it exceeds prior headsets. I can go upstairs and make coffee. I can walk around many rooms of my house with great reception leaving the laptop in my office with the base.Bonus: I was surprised most by the quality of sound cancelling. I have asked teammates to confirm because I'm skeptical and it checks out. Teammates cannot hear my coffee grinder, dog barking, or any other noises that is not terminating from a within a few centimeters of the microphone. This sounds canceling might be the single most valuable feature.I'm still not finding it comfortable to wear for over 1.5 hrs. This more to do with the tension between ear and other side of the head. I have adjusted the width to reduce tension but there is a point where going any looser would have the device prone to fall off. I think I have it balanced now where I switch sides each meeting and the device is comfortable all day. I have not found better comfort with other devices so this is a minor concern.

The Poly Savi 8200 is a premium wireless headset designed for office use. It features noise-canceling technology that helps to reduce background noise and provides clear audio quality. The headset also comes equipped with a boom microphone that can be easily adjusted and switched from left to right by simply flipping to boom over. The boom microphone ensures the best audio quality and clarity. The Poly Savi 8200 has a long battery life, providing up to 13 hours of talk time on a single charge. In my experience that's not just talk time, but total time on. After a day of use, if you leave it on and do not put it back in the cradle, or connect it to a USB-C charger, it will run out of power halfway through the day. After a day of use, if you leave it on and do not put it back in the cradle, or connect it to a USB-C charger, it will run out of power halfway through the day. Fortunately, it comes with a great charging stand that keeps the headset out of harms way and charges it up for another day of work.Additionally, the headset has a wireless range of up to 590 feet, allowing you to move around the home or office while staying connected. This comes at the cost of a very large USB-A dongle to connect it to the laptop or desktop. You really should remove the dongle before putting your laptop away, and be careful carrying it with it in - the USB dongle extends far from the case and could easily get snagged on something. A fair tradeoff for the incredible range!Sound quality is very good, all voices on calls were intelligible, and my voice was easily understood. Noise cancelling was useful and as good as you would expect any on-ear headset to do. However, it did not play well with WebEx, with connection problems, mute button sync among others. It's not designed for WebEx, but rather Teams, so do keep that in mind when buying.Overall, the Savi 8200UC is a lightweight, comfortable all-day headset for office and home workers. I recommend it for anyone in a quieter office and using teams.
I received this and immediately had problems with it. First, when I used it with my work laptop (using the included dongle), I had to reboot every time I switched from a different audio device to the Savi. Then, the sound quality was sub-par. Not quite "transistor radio" like, but not what I'd expect from a product designed for professional use. It was thin, without depth. Second, the microphone never worked. Not at all. When using MS Teams, Teams would consistently warn me that my microphone was not functioning and I needed to select another audio device. I reported these problems to Poly, and heard nothing back. I reported these problems twice more, and heard nothing back. I then used the headset with my personal laptop (a MS Surface Studio Laptop) and while the ... I reported these problems twice more, and heard nothing back. I then used the headset with my personal laptop (a MS Surface Studio Laptop) and while the headset connected with the dongle, the microphone was weak. I tested it in Windows (11 Pro) Settings, and could never get the input "volume" above 11%.. Certainly not enough to use.The headset seems well constructed, and is comfortable to wear - although since it never worked right, I can't say how long it would have remained comfortable. ANC seems to be effective on par with other headsets i have. Controls are minimal, but intuitive. I did try to test range, being a DECT set I expected to have better range than my Bluetooth sets, but didn't seem to get more than a few feet beyond what Bluetooth offered me. Keep in mind it wasn't a "line of sight" test - I have a basement office where the computer with the dongle was, and went upstairs and a room or two away. There is a floor, a cinder block wall and some plumbing and other infra in the way - but, as I said, I got about the same range as Bluetooth (even considering the obstructions).I believe the set I received is simply defective - but I got no response to my requests for assistance, hence this review (which they did remind me to write about the same number of times I reported the problems to them. It may be a good if not great headset - but customer service leaves something to be desired.
This headset is one of the best I've used for audio and video calls. It has excellent audio quality, specifically tuned for voice. The noise cancelling works great in a loud open office environment, allowing me to take calls with no distractions and clear audio at relatively low volumes. The charging dock is super convenient for both storing the headset while making sure it's always charged for my next call. The USB transmitter was plug and play with my computer and worked out of the box with no need for extra software or drivers. My only minor complaints are audio quality for music and entertainment is poor, as the headset seems well tuned specifically for speech. Additionally, there is no Bluetooth, which may be fine for people that use their computer for everything, but is a minor inconvenience when I was accustomed to switching between my PC and cellphone seamlessly with my past Bluetooth headsets. Overall this headset is much better build quality than other ones I've tried, and I would love to see a future hybrid version that could use the USB dongle for PC and include Bluetooth to pair with multiple personal devices.
I like this headset. I use the "over the head" arrangement. It's light and comfortable all day, fits well and doesn't come off when I wander around the house and do random chores while I'm on long calls. The range covers my entire house and down the driveway maybe 70 feet. The sound is great on my end, and the noise cancellation is good enough that I can can run water and wash dishes and the person on the other end of the line can't hear it. I haven't tested it with louder things, but my W740 screened out the noise of a guy tearing out my stairs behind a glass door 15 feet away. Amazing. I haven't measured this directly but it feels like I get less battery life than the W740. I used to get through an entire day with the headset on and off the charger with the W740, ... I used to get through an entire day with the headset on and off the charger with the W740, and I have to change the battery on this one once a day. Fortunately it comes with a second battery, so that's not an issue. I like that fact that it's wireless to the laptop, as it's easier to travel with it. Important note: I have a Microsoft Surface with one USB C port and I have my mouse dongle in that, so I had to buy a little splitter for the port to use both. Seems to work fine. I like that it comes with a travel case, though I haven't used it just yet.
The Savi 8200 UC is a perfect work headset. It works well in the office and at home. The setup was very easy, essentially plug and play. The microphone is flexible, and can adjust it to accommodate the user. The headset itself is lightly padded. The earpieces could do with a touch more padding in my opinion, but it still is comfortable for several hours of wear. The top padding is on the lighter end as well. The headset has some adjustment capability, and at its largest size perfectly fits my head.Overall, this is a great work headset. The features are very streamlined for the workplace, whether at home or at the office. The audio quality is solid, and the noise cancellation effects of the headset from both an input and output standpoint.

Plantronics Savi 8200 UC Series is a solid quality solid design, solid performance headset. This headset is using DECT technology which means much better range comparing to Bluetooth based headsets. The DEC USB dongle is reasonably small and does deliver on DECT range promise. Although I wasn't able to get mail from mailbox across the street like with similar headset with a DECT base station, it kept audio flowing without interruptions around the house and all the way to the middle of driveway. Headset s comfortable with premium soft earpads and headband pad. Long microphone boom turns all the way both side so it is possible to have microphone on left side and right side, very versatile. The side of the earcup also has black Call button to Answer/End call.I used Plantronics Savi 8200 UC Series headset with Microsoft Teams in meetings and it performed very well. Great sound quality, great microphone pickup, Mute button synced with client. Call button worked as Teams button in Idle state and as Answer/End button in Call/Meeting.The Plantronics Savi 8200 UC Series headset comes with DECT USB dongle, USB-C/USB-A cable, charging docking station with power supply and travel pouch.
