Needs improvement. Knots dont cinch smoothly and it locks up, generating friction and burning. Amazing strength and quality but its not smooth enough even with lubrication. Needs a smoother outer coating.

This leader was great handle 3 good barra i didn't need to change it after each fish there size range from 60cm..70cm..and a 1 meter

Bkw planning a trip to FNQ I realised I didn’t have any 20lb leader so headed over to my nearest BCF store in Yeppoon Qld. I hadn’t bought leader for quite a while so there were plenty to choose from. I was looking for a tough leader but still with hardly any memory and a good amount of suppleness. After feeling a good few on the shelf I tested the Platypus leader. It was exactly the combination I was looking for and the Platypus brand has been around well before I had long hair and Dunlop white rubber thongs so I had a lot of faith in the brand. It passed all the tests I put it through so will confidently use it up north.

Love this leader, I use 40lb on all species of fish from Barra in the rivers to mackerel in the open water. Great knot tying abilities and best of all "It's Aussie made".

I purchased the 100lb, its good leader, does well with knots, abrassion resistance is awesome.
Great leader, ties knots well and very abrasion resistant. Very impressed how this went when used for a full day’s fishing casting into structure.
I have used Platypus fishing line on and off for more than 35 years. With this said, I can target fish near and around natural and manmade structure(s) as this leader has the ability to handle these crucial areas that many other leaders available easily fail. In broader terms, Platypus is one of my go to fishing line brands only real fishermen like myself trust and appreciate.
Price is okay but i will definitely be buying blackmagic leader again as this platypus leaders isn't as good
I bought this in 30lb yesterday. It was fine with tying an albright, then tying a uni it broke so i tried again same thing. tried a blood knot broke again. now its in the bin, waste of money. i use platinummono and pulse x4 braid and never had this issue
