This is my 6 year old’s first playmobil set. She’d had her eye on it for a while and was thrilled to receive it for Christmas. Has been a big hit so far, and has lots of play. Gorgeous set, especially for VW campervan fans. Lots of attention to detail.

My 6 year old twins loved this . There are 74 pieces in this set . It comes with 2 figures to play with . This is challenging enough for them to put together with a little bit of help from me but not frustrating for them . It helps with cognitive skills . The pieces are brightly colored and fit snugly together . It actually rolls around after being put together. They took this apart and put it back together several times ! It’s a lot of fun .

I received this bus because I love Volkswagen buses. Even though I am older I wanted to get this as a toy I can put on the shelf and give it to my niece and nephew when they come over. The assembly was a little difficult cause some of the pieces really took a lot of muscle to snap into place. The overall construction was sturdy though. I know that nothing will be coming out of place once the pieces are correctly assembled. The directions are easy to read for a child but children may need help assembling because it’s difficult to snap in. I love the fact it comes with two figurines and some accessories.

This bus was exactly what our motor loving kid wanted. There weren’t as many pieces to assemble as I anticipated, and initial assembly was done just fine by our 8 year old with an exception. The wheel assembly was difficult to do for our son, but went together fairly well with adult help. It’s stylish and fun, lots of fun accessories. Lived up to the quality that you expect from Playmobile.
This is a fabulous set for both kids and adults. The details of everything from the inside of the camper van down to the style of the people make it wonderfully kitschy. It's a great gift for adults who love 70s nostalgia or VWs but it's also really fun for kids to play with. My kids (ages 4-9) love moving the people around and folding the seats up and down to make a bed. I love that you can lift off the roof and open and close the doors to easily access everything inside.
My son was excited to built this camping van.Tires are too tight to put, need adult’s finger.Both the rear view mirrors in the packet are for right sides. There was no left side rear view mirror.

They tend to replace the Playmobil figures with star wars or bluey characters but they enjoy the Bus nonetheless. It has a lot of fun, classic detail.I don't have a lot of Playmobil toys so I'm not as familiar with how they do things so the rest of my review is a result of inexperience. The box had an age range of 5-99, which seems lazy because there is no way either of my kids was putting this together. At least, not with the instructions provided. Perhaps because I am used to Lego, I assumed the age range referred to assembly as well. Regardless, I had no problem putting it together for my son and he enjoyed playing with it. The Volkswagen T1 Camping Bus was so much fun to built. My son and I always put time aside every week to do a project together and so far this one was our favorite. The instructions were easy to understand it and comes with great quality parts. You can tell that a lot of work went into creating this. We loved it so much that we look forward to building another one together.I highly recommend this for a family project or a gift.
Nice looking Bus. Fit and finish are outstanding. The Red and White body of the Bus seems to be dual molded so the plastic is a solid color throughout with crisp lines. Only the VW emblem is painted, all other trim details are molded in color. I couldn't get the folding rear seat to snap in. I followed the vague instructions and tried different ways to click it into place but didn't want to force it. I gave up and just left it where it kind of sits in place. I didn't apply the original stickers but copied some to put on. Walmart had the best prices on the Bus and Bug at $10 under MSRP.
Got it at clearance price, ended up buying 2 for Christmas gifts. Great for the kids 4+ once assembled. Stickers and a few parts are tricky to assemble. Take your time. Playing pretend camping is extremely important for the kids imagination. What better way to do it then with a VW bus.
