It came with a white controller, to get free shipping I had to buy another controller, which I gifted it to my fiance for Christmas so he can play with my kids; I purchased my kiddos each their own different colored ones so that 1, they don't fight over just having 1-2 controllers, 2, most games can handle up to 4 players so my 3 can play some, or together with each other + fiancé or me, 3, they picked their own colors which makes it easier on me to distinguish which controller is theirs in case 1 needs to be charged and wouldn't have to play a guessing game as to which needs charged if they are all the same color. I purchased 1 controller from Sony, which is black, 1 came with it, which is the standard white controller, 1 is red for my youngest, 1 is purple for my teenaged daughter, and last but not least, my first son picked black because he likes the color black. There were multiple colors to choose from on Best Buy's ebay store, the controllers were on sale and brand new. Some other color options were: pink, camo, and blue. I will say I was blessed to have been able to have had the money, get another opportunity to join the the "pool" of people online to be able to have the opportunity to buy one, and blessed to have been able to buy controllers for all 3 of my children. I don't think I would do this type of thing ever again. They've been talking about having one when they first came out and to not be able to afford one because of the bots buying them then turning around and hiking up the prices, I waited and like I said, saved for a very long time. Downside, can't be laid down, it's upright. I'm also concerned that if I keep it out, I would have my home broken into, but that's just maybe my paranoia.

Just imagine my haste speeding home to save my highly anticipated system from package theives. I swear i saw everyone driving to my home. 😆Not one hiccup and I paired it with the 8tb ext hdd from seagate gaming and alrrwdy have downloaded 176 ps4 and ps5 games from the ps store and ps plus premium and ea play and it loads and plays ps4 games flawlessly from the usb extension hdd. Just be sure after moving so many files around you rebuild the database by connecting a usb cable and holding the power button until it beeps twice. And going down to select rebuild database and it will organize the games in their respective locations and resume the loading functions and fix the downloading items in queue issue of games not auto downloading one after another. It only took 4 days of downloading after wasted time of trying to figure out the reason my files weren't auto downloading. and copying from the internal to the usb extension puts the system out of commission while it copies. But transfer times are fast about 235gb in 45 to 52 mins varying on the file and if I was downloading a PS5 game or PS4 games since the PS4 games download and install directly to the usb extension and the ps5 games directly to the internal and ha e to be transferred over to the usb extension one time to be able to permanently be their and the copy option opens up.Highly satisfied great job Sony.

I've had a PS5 for a good few months now and I have to say even though the graphics are better, they're not much better than the PS4 Pro. I get that Ray Tracing is a new feature in the latest generation of consoles but in order to have it on, in most cases you have to sacrifice the 4K screen resolution and sometimes even the frame rate, and a high frame rate is one of the biggest selling points for gaming in general. The console is oversized compared to previous generations of PS which will leave quite a few people needing to buy a new TV unit in order for the console to have an appropriate place to sit. Seriously, the console is huge and is a little bigger than some small form factor desktop PCs. I've played Rift Apart on this console and the controller never lasts more than 90 minutes even when fully charged. 4K BluRay support is new on the PS5 and is the best way to watch movies in true 4K and in some cases, full 12-Bit colour. It's a picture quality that the top streaming services won't achieve. Also, 4K BluRay is not new for 9th generation consoles, with a competing 8th generation console beating Sony to it. The PS5 is a very quiet console compared to the PS4 and PS3 which sound like jet engines when playing graphically intensive games.All in all, I have strongly mixed feelings about this console but I am just about happy with it and will not be going back to the PS4 Pro. Never in a million years.

I love Amazon for some things, but it was also nice to be able to pick up my item in person on the same day as I decided to pull the trigger. Amazon has fast shipping but nothing beats driving a few miles to pick up what you want when you want it. I won't be returning this item. Great purchase and highly recommended to the first time console buyer! One more comment, I installed a 2TB PS5 officially endorsed SSD. It was very easy to do this. I quickly filled up the onboard storage, so I would recommend considering this option on the front end to avoid compromising performance when it comes to storing more than 5 games on your console. PS5 has guides on their website on how to install the SSD, just make sure you get one that meets their required specifications!

The 825 GB SSD is only 667.2 GB after formatting with the OS installed, and this is simply not enough given the size of PS5 games, which will only increase over time. PS5 games also can only be stored on an external HDD - not played, so you have to swap games out if you wish to use an external drive. However, you can store and play PS4 games this way, which is nice. And you can set PS4 games automatically install on the external drive with an available option if you choose. Thankfully, Sony added an easily accessible storage upgrade slot to add additional capacity to the system, though the compatible drives remain quite expensive, but I do appreciate having the option, and not having to replace the existing drive, but instead adding an additional one. This means even adding a 1 TB drive will more than double the 667.2 GB out of the box.Other than these gripes, the system is amazing. The exclusive titles are great, the upgrades and improvements on PS4 games are wonderful, and it’s a quiet and solid system. Overall, I find it leagues better than I ever found the PS4 Pro to be. Highly recommended.
