The PS5 Still has alot of updates that is coming to its operating system/UI that will allow it to have the expandable storage option, and that will allow even more smoother connectivity with PS3 and PS4 games. I have Also given a Over all five star rating to how efficient it is to operate the PS5 system. The boot up time is like 3to 10secs max from the moment you press the power button on the console or controller you go straight to your log in screen and within 2seconds you are looking at your interface which is extremely easy to use. The interface Separates your game media from your entertainment media meaning when you only want to game you just scroll over to the gaming media side, and when you want to watch all your entertainment media like YouTube or Hulu and Netflix you just scroll over to the entertainment media option which is less then a second. Now things get even easier with the Ui of the Playstation interface when you use something called switcher which allows you to jump from game to game or from YouTube back to any game or media App the transition is seemless and so fast. If I had to say anything bad about the PS5 it would be its starting out storage capacity of only 667gb of storage and the fact that the stand comes off to easily when sat Horizontally other then that My Game system is a PYT.

When I first used it on House of Ashes PS5 version, my mind almlost exploded. The 360 degree capability is beyond belief. I heard some noise up front from my tv when I'm on the Menu of the game as I click through options, and I took off my headset to make sure the homeheather was not what I was hearing. Turns out, it was the headset haha! It really gives you a lifelike sound system. I just cannot believe how it's only 100$ dollars. I'd expect at least 350$ for this kind of headset. I cant give 2.5 five stars so 3 stars it is. I compared these against Sony - WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Cancelling headphones and i was disappointed with both of them and heres why. Pulse 3D headphones exclusively build to take advantage of ps5 tempest 3D audio engine lack the high audio volume and high quality fidelity to accomplish what the tempest engine can deliver yet it delivers a decent enough quality and volume if you don't have a noisy environment like refrigerator,AC, dogs, loud neighborhood etc. Due to the lack of noise cancelling for the earphones them selves or enough volume to provide enough volume to overcome some what the outside noises. There is a way around it and that's if you have small enough ears to not get clipped or if you just willing to endure the pain or get use to it, which i think no one should get use to something thats wrong. Sound Quality: Disappointed, before getting these i tested the Sony - WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Cancelling headphones side by side and they weren't even close to deliver what the M4s could, which was disappointed because i was hoping for if not a bit better at least equal since these pulse headphones had the upper hand being built specifically for the ps5 however the M4s are not recognized by the ps5 bluethooth compatibility which blew my mind because why in the hell would a Sony WH 1000M4 headphones not be bluethooth compatible with a sony Ps5! You are Nuts Sony! Yet even with that issue the M4s delivered a more believable 3D audio connecting the M4s through my tvs bluethooth even though connection was not stable between my tvs bluethooth it still managed to deliver better sound than the playstation pulse headphones when connection was stable. Now plugin directly to the controller is where the M4s sound muffled just like the pulse did which it through me off, so something weird is going between sound delivery between the controllers bluethooth and ps5 something to keep in mind or dig deeper into. If only the m4s had a direct bluethooth connectivity with ps5 im sure they would have been the go to for gaming on ps5 and take you closer to 3D tempest audio more then the pulse could ever do, do to the lack of outside sound isolation or higher volume capabilities high enough to drown whatever environment noises you may have. If you have the money get the M4s and buy a separate bluethooth dongle to plug into the ps5 and see if that works ( i did not test that ) yet even if you don't youll will be happier with the somys WH 1000 m4s due to better quality audio, higher volume capabilities, environmental sound isolation and way more comfortable (Way) more comfortable than the pulse 3D playstation headphones.

That being said, I've purchased two of these headsets. One black and one white/black to go with my two color schemes. Pros: - wireless is great, and the dongle being compatible with pc is another win. I swap between my desktop, ps5, and laptop on the go. - look is incredible, sleek, and on brand with the PS5. Fits over ear well, very comfortable and well built. - PS5 EQ for the headphones is great and I highly recommend adjusting the sound immediately. It doesn't compare to my Hyper X Cloud II's in terms of quality. I recommend using the EQ on the PS5 to determine what sounds best for you. I tend to lower bass a bit and up the mids and highs. Once you tweak it it's enjoyable enough but not face melting.

Again, it’s been almost 3 months and no issues so far. Ergonomics: I have a large adult male head, and these sit comfortably during play. They can get a little warm around the cups after an hour, but not uncomfortable or terrible. They cover my ears and never pinch. Not having metal along the top/band is concerning, and will eventually fatigue and break (as many have reported), but I try to be careful and not flex it more than needed. The buttons on the left hand cup are laid out nicely, but I rarely use them. Other than the initial setup, I use the on screen controls. Microphone: The mic on this is terrible, it picks up everything. It picks up any noise and conversations in the room, heck even button click from the controller. It’s serviceable in a pinch since muting is pretty quick and easy, but I would never inflict these on my squad.

However, one flaw that I did not expect is that the left ear cup passive noise seal is not equal to the right ear cup. This is very noticeable if anyone who has moderate level of background noise around their house. The left cup noticeably has less of a passive noise blocking than the right, hence tried wearing it in reverse to check if it was my own hearing, unfortunately it wasn’t. The experience is alike to when your ears inner pressure is uneven and you feel one side is “lighter” than the other in terms of sound level. The possibility could be that the left cup does house every button that controls the features unique to the headset, such as sound, mute and on/off button etc, thus having more openings due to components inside the cup. But at $150 range, give or take of $30 depending on sale weeks, is a miss on a rather simple requirement for a gaming headset, especially with many competitors out there, mind you some choose sound bars rather than headset. I too purchased it on the basis that I never used a PS official headset before, and also that wanted to add it to my PS accessory collection. Yet, with the pros and cons I would like to give my honest opinion that everyone should consider carefully prior to purchase.
Headphones are poor quality. Had it for just over a year and the screw that adjust the fitting over your head snapped off. 12 month warranty is expired (by 3 weeks) so went to a electronic fixing store who then said the screw was specially made and it would be best to go to Sony. Went Sony store to ask whether they could repair but referred me to a place where they fix Sony/PlayStation products in Onehanga. Went to place and they said they don’t repair PlayStation products and would be best to ring PlayStation, though I was cautious at the fact the warranty expired. So… rung PlayStation, asking whether they could do anything about it, or if they could refer me to a place where I could get the special screw repaired. Up to you whether you want to purchase these, but when things go bad, don’t expect any help from PlayStation!
What I like about the Sony Pulse is the sound is great without an amplifier, I can control chat and game volume separately, easy to mute, and the freedom of wires! Read on for a long boring story but I believe it’s useful for those considering spending more many than what these cost. I’ve been a long time Astro fan. I own the A40TR and mix amp as well as my son has a set also so yeah that’s $500. I got great use out of them with the PS4. I have just had non stop issues with them being used with the PS5. Chat issues where I hear echo, disconnecting issues, replaced the cable from head phones to Amp 3 times. Perhaps there is a reason the PS5 doesn’t have optical support. Surprisingly good audio quality from this headset when paired with a PS5 wirelessly, 3D audio being particularly impressive in games that support it. Friends have said that the microphone is loud and clear enough which again is surprising given no boom on the headset, the mic monitor is also a nice touch and can be turned off if needs be. Headset buttons give visual feedback in the form of on screen pop-ups when changing things like overall volume, chat/game volume and muting. Annoying that you can’t mute the mic using the button on the PS5 controller but the button is easy enough to find once you’re used to it, it does seem like a little too many buttons to remember placement of initially though. The auto-adjusting rubber headband is comfortable and the cups are very squishy, I do think they could’ve done with being a tad deeper though as my left ear seems to sit on the driver cover and can get a little uncomfortable after extended play. Battery life seems solid (can’t give exact times, but it’s never died on me and I charge it after every few sessions at a couple hours long each) and again you get visual feedback on-screen when you connect the headset at how much charge you have left. Overall, for the price, can’t see you getting much better in a wireless headset for PS5 even with a couple of minimal downsides.
