PlayStation 5 Stellar Blade Multi-Language Edition PS5

Currently on my second playthrough of Stellar Blade and still having a great time with it.ShiftUp have put a lot of passion and effort into this game and if you are familiar with other popular game franchises like NieR (Automata and Replicant) as well as Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, you will easily get hooked on this. Stellar Blade takes a bit of inspiration from all. The core gameplay will appeal to those that enjoy hack-and-slash combat with Soulsborne-like blocking and parrying mechanics.The story is nothing spectacular but it will definitely make you feel a mix of emotions and curious about the truth of it all. Although this is not a huge story-driven/cinematic experience like God Of War Ragnarök or Spider-Man 2, it is still an incredibly impressive and well optimized game at only 30GB, despite my first run taking 50+ hours (full completion)The music is beautifully mesmerizing at times and sets the tone of a mysterious and post-apocalyptic world setting almost perfectly.Additionally there is also an update to add New Game+ which allows you to upgrade more skills, find outfit variations, perks and further lore explanation, making it feel rewarding to play it multiple times. With 3 different endings to experience this adds a good amount of replay value to the game.Highly recommend Stellar Blade and believe it is well-deserved to hold the accolade of being highlighted as a Playstation exclusive and AAA title. As a smaller studio, ShiftUp has earned the praise for creating a game that pushes the PS5 to show off the performance and graphical quality it is capable of.-Great service by Koodoo as usual too, have always received my pre-orders on release day without any issues. Skip whatever controversy is being stirred, focus on what's important. That this studio delivered an amazingly well crafted and unique game with an incredibly addicting combat system. Of course nobody likes to be lied to, and shame on Sony for changing the original content behind the studio's back, blah blah but this "censorship" issue shouldn't outweigh the overall positive impact that this game is going making. Whatever was "censored" is supremely minimal and doesn't change how amazing this game looks and plays. If you like futuristic swordplay combos with creatively unique style, atrocious looking enemies and horrendously aggressive bosses in a dystopian setting-- you'll love this game. Yes, yes jiggle physics and all that, moving on. There is more to this game than simple appeal. It has great an interesting story, paced very well; a fun broken world, with gorgeous visuals; and excellent mechanics, keeps you paced with learning new and powerful combos/ways to fight. About mechanics: Fighting feels very intune, much like those of the soulsborne series. Parrying series of attacks and dodging at the last minute feels buttery-smooth. Leveling up your expansive skill tree increases your potency with new moves and animated combos attacks. About the story: no spoilers, but the story is remeniscint of a Nier game (not as philosophical, but the intrigue remains the same). Definitely keeps your attention. Yeah, he is right. Nier Automata is a masterpiece and Stellar Blade isn't. With that said, Stellar Blade is a really good game. Gameplay (combat, RPG, and the like) is definitely 5 out of 5. Environment (graphics, body physics, design) is 5 out of 5. And sadly Story I can't give it more than a 3 out of 5. I want to give it a 2 but it might be a cultural difference on how Korean story telling is done. There is just some Resident Evil 1 moments where I was this is bad story telling. So, the big question should you buy it? If you're on the fence at this time don't, wait for a sale. And if you want to get it now for a physical copy and keep the uncensored version, it's not worth it, wait for a sale. There still plenty to see with the censored version. More like 4.8 stars but near perfect. The combat is spectacular and perfectly balanced. The skill trees will let you make mechanics like the perfect parry or perfect dodge better and there are equipment enhancements that expand it from there! Anyone that owns a PS5 owes it to themselves to play the demo and see for yourself how great the game is. The parry isn’t as fluid and beautifully crafted as Sekiro but this game is MILES ahead other games even Lies of P in that regard.Negatives are — platforming could be better, sometimes getting out of corners to pickup items or interact with them will not engage properly and there’s a couple of moments where the characters are really dense but I think Shift Up is a new studio to watch! The game is fantastic despite all the censorship controversy behind it. One if not best PS5 exclusive out there. The gameplay has Sekiro deflection with simple control scheme and stylish combat. Despite what some say It's not a button masher, but it's also not very deep like dmc. So if you're hoping for a simple button masher or dmc control scheme look elsewhere. The game is as difficult or easy as you want it to be after understanding the basics. You got a few combos that are easy to memorize that you can mix in special abilities with. Dodge and deflection have counter attacks with additional finishers. Eventually you get a devil trigger type ability, but honestly it makes the game a bit too cheesy and bland. After unlocking all the abilities it's effortlessly easy especially after mastering the dodge/parry window. The exploration isn't entirely open world you get a couple of linear stages without maps and small open world areas with main/side missions and collectibles. If you focus on the main missions you can finish the game in 20-25 hrs with side missions and collectibles 60-80 hrs. There's no need to grind as long as you do all the side missions and optional bosses. The story is 7/10, gameplay 8/10, music 10/10, visuals, 9/10 and for a PS5 exclusive game the performance is a solid 10. Balanced mode is the best mode (imo) with upscale 4k and a pretty steady targeted 60. Personally this is a must play. A side note after running through ng+ theres nothing that keeps you staying. Which is fine with me these days with plenty of games that over stay their welcome it's quite refreshing.

I had fun going out of my way to find everything in the game, leveling up, playing around with the various gear combinations as I accumulated those components.I thought the character design was excellent. Character animation was also excellent with a lot of attention paid to how your character interacts with the environment with little touches you don't always find in other games, or simply executed better -- movement generally seemed natural and made sense.The English dub could use some work, and I'm not sure what happened there. The few suite changes were disappointing and unnecessary in my opinion, but fairly meaningless all things considered in terms of game play and enjoyment (I certainly don't agree with any perceived necessity regarding them). I wish these things were handled with setting toggles.The various gear have their applications and it's worth exploring builds. Skill point farming is fun and worth your time and effort to maximize your skill set early as well as becoming proficient with the move sets you'll unlock.If you like action RPGs that aren't button mashers, this is for you.
