It allows the best uncompressed video from the computer.Wish Sony would also port over the unique functionalities of the PSVR2 to Windows - HDR, eye tracking for dynamic foveated rendering support, haptics and adaptive triggers. Though the last one is apparently been working with a third party utility.

If you are buying this don’t get the tp link Bluetooth adapter because that’s what everyone is having issues with. I got the asus bt500 for the same price and as long as it is close to your play area without obstructions it’s great. I plugged into the usb ports on the top of my case and any other Bluetooth or 2.4gHz dongles or similar must be moved away from the Bluetooth. Also every time I turn off the computer after playing I need to remove the controllers from Bluetooth and reconnect them or else it will be buggy. That’s how I fixed it and otherwise it works totally fine, I’ve never seen my o vr games look so good, would 100% this and the asus bt500 if you are thinking of buying.

The PSVR2 headset presents great value for money when technically compared with other far more expensive headsets. The Playstation however lacks the power to really utilise the PSVR2 headset. If you have a powerful computer then this adaptor lets you utilise that PC power for a far better VR experience and more games than the Playstation store has to offer.

I preordered this since I only have PSVR2 as a VR headset and I wanted to experience the PC VR. I have an RTX 3070 so I must say some demos I tried were not very good with the performance (FPS drops etc.) but it's more the PC rather than PSVR2. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be able to broaden the use of their PSVR2 from playing SteamVR games to watching VR videos. Just a warning, make sure you have a DisplayPort 1.4 cable and a good onboard (or PCI-e wifi/bluetooth card) bluetooth connection for the PSVR2 controllers. I heard bluetooth dongles are generally losing track of the controllers but I didn't have that problem with my tp-link archer tx3000e bluetooth.
Bought this for my son. Box said it needed an displayport 1.4 cable which wasn't included so bought one. Spent all day trying to set up and sync the VR2 only to discover the computer needs to have Bluetooth to sync the VR2 controllers which my son's computer doesn't have but thankfully my brother had a Bluetooth adapter which works perfectly. Bluetooth requirement needs to be shown on the box ! Other than that my son is happy
Sony really dropped the ball by not including Bluetooth in the adapter. This had led to a lot of problems setting up the controllers, which could’ve been avoided. But after you get through that headache, the PCVR2 is an amazing PC headset. The deep blacks and beautiful colors outweigh any drawbacks. In fact, despite the lack of HDR, I think it looks better on PC than it does on the PS5. There are some areas that are going to look sharper on the quest 3 due to the pancake lenses and of course the sweet spot is also extremely small on the PSVR2 for the same reason. The sound is definitely better on the quest, I hate messing around with the earbuds and you just don’t get the same surround feeling out if them. In honesty the visuals are overall are better on this headset. In fact, in spite of all I said above, I will probably use this for PCVR more than the quest for that reason alone. The only reason I’m taking off a star is because they didn’t include Bluetooth otherwise it works as advertised.

I found set up for this to be relatively painless, I ran into some initial issues but I've already forgotten them. I use this headset all the time with my PC and I have no regrets, especially now that Microsoft killed WMR.I am using and AMD 7900 xt and while initially there was a settings issue (120hz only, no 90hz) that is now fixed.I have a wifi + Bluetooth PCI card and I attached a longer desk mounted antena from another card, and found no large issues with my controllers, though I only use them to get through menus as I'm primarily doing sim driving
This thing does as advertised but not without working with it for a bit. I got the controllers to work but some other computers may need a separate bluetooth dongle to pair them. It's honestly wild they didn't include their own bluetooth chip in the box. For $60 it's a really barebones adapter. You also need an extra DisplayPort cable as well cause they don't include one either. Yeah it works fine but it's too expensive for what it is. If you already have a PSVR2 and want it working with a PC it's cheaper than buying a whole other VR headset, but if you don't then I'd look into other options.

No futzing about with Virtual Desktop, Airlink, or Steamlink settings. No worrying about latency and a million different things that can case a Quest 3's PCVR experience to be less than perfect.
