Playtex Sport Tampons Unscented Super Absorbency, 18 Count

I do not play sports but these are my all time favorite tampons. I think they are more flexible and soft because they are meant for girls who are active. I’ve tried the diva cup but the smallest one felt too big and it bothered me and I hate the feel of pads. I do wish there was some way to avoid having the string accidentally come out of the applicator sometimes but that seems to happen with all tampons. The absorbency is good, I do have leakage sometimes, but I suspect that’s because I probably need a larger tampon but it’s just something I have to deal with because larger tampons feel horrible for me. As far as tampons go this is the most tolerable kind I’ve found and I’ve been using them for 10 years.

These are individually packaged in a muted green color, and open easily and quietly. The plastic applicator is a sleek muted green that is easy to hold and grip. The insertion is simple and can be done easily with one finger while holding the tampon. The actual tampon is a shorter version and not the long cotton style. The string is very absorbent, which decreases any leakage. The string isn’t so long than it dangles when you are using the bathroom. Adequate - as advertised for people on the move

The packaging is eye-catching, I feel mildly condescended to by the "Sport" in the title, but I get that they are trying to advertise that it's for active people. That being said, the product itself works as advertised- nothing even leaked out, and I used it until almost its limit of 8 hrs. The individual wrapping is distinctive, it's not paper or regular plastic, is it a fibre or fabric base?? The texture is nice. I also did like the color used for the plastic applicator. And I like the material used, it's very easy to use. I've used playtex tampons many times before, and they are always easy to apply, however I did find it mildly uncomfortable for the first 30 min. Comfortable and easy once I got used to it

I purchased the 18 count package of playtex sport for the first time and found it pretty comfortable. At first, the applicator fell apart and I did not put it back together properly that when I inserted the tampon it was not comfortable. But after getting used to this applicator, it was easy to use and comfortable. I found that it absorbed better than the other tampons I have tried. However, I do prefer if it was compact and easy to carry around. Also, I feel like I would only use this when I have a heavy to medium flow or maybe only when the flow is heavy as I was finding it a little difficult or uncomfortable to take off as the flow got lighter.

Cute packaging, easy to use, and leak free!

These tampons are easy to use and great for teens/women on the move. I love the cute and secure packaging allows me to throw a few in my bag and not worry about a paper wrapper ripping and possibly getting contaminated. The applicator is sleek and easy to use with a nice gripper section to hold. The tampons were comfortable and provided good leak free coverage even when being active and moving around a lot. My teenage daughter has heavier periods and found the "regular" ones not to hold enough even on her lighter days and preferred to use the super all the time for the extra piece of mind to avoid leaks. I love that you can buy them in a combo pack instead of just one size or the other if you want some of each! Easy to use, Comfortable, priced accordingly!

I am not a huge tampon user. i use them only when I need too / want to participate in something where it would be more convenient to use. This was my first experience with the Playtex Sport tampons and I have to say I really like them. I have a majorly heavy cycle at the beginning and the super tampons held up well. They were easy to use and i dont really notice it there (which I notice a lot of other brands, hence not using them often). The only one thing I noted was the applicator is very sensitive. The handle was detached from the applicator when I pulled it from the package, however, it was very easily fixed and able to use. Very happy with this product; and hope to use them a bit more in the future!

Good product and happy customer

I liked this product because it was comfortable and there were both regular and super types within the one box. I think that Playtex did a good job with the visual presentation of the box and it's appealing to purchase compared to some of the other choices on the shelf. Overall, the fit was good and I'd buy again since they provide a high comfort level when wearing. The applicator is fine and the different style is helpful to have, depending on the day. I do lead an active lifestyle so choosing a box where the word SPORT is in all capital letters worked out for me in terms of fit compatibility. I would buy these again.

Great

I like this tampon, it’s perfect for heavy days and lasts for a bit over 6 hours. I’ve had this before going to the gym and had it throughout my workout and there were no leaks, so that’s great! The only downside is that a single tampon package is pretty bulky. The plastic applicator helps put it in my place properly, but sometimes it comes off while taking it out. It’s comfortable to use and has great absorption capacity so you can go anywhere worry-free. Also, it’s unscented, so people who are scent-sensitive or don’t like artificial fragrances would prefer this. I’d recommend it to others.

Great product, except for the packaging

I was given the chance to review the Playtex sport super in 18 count, scent free. I have never tried this brand before, but would recommend it.* The packaging I'm not a fan of. You tear from the top. There are "two little tips" I would call them at the top to tear down by using both hands. But that didn't always open the package. At times I did use my teeth or was lucky to find some scissors to open the package to get the applicator out. Or sometimes the packaging would tear a tiny hole, where one would have fun trying to make a larger opening to get the applicator out.*The applicator is soft plastic with a slight tapered tip. The string is two pieces tied at the base of the tampon and again at the end to help pull out. I was afraid of breakage when removing the tampon, but nothing broke off. There is a nice grip spot to squeeze to push up the tampon inside. There was no leakage and was comfortable to wear. Pulling the tampon was different for me, as I'm used to one that is an East west design rather then this 360 "skirt" design. It was nice.Overall, I would recommend this. 4 stars only cause of the packaging opening issues. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has issues opening it up

Playtex sport (fragrance - free) is my go to since I started using tampons. As a frequent swimmer from a young age, Playtex was the only company with a plastic applicator that would always eject, ensure proper placement and have reliable absorbancy. I could trust that that Playtex will do what I need for me to focus on my workout or go to work. This 36 tampon box has 18 regular (yellow) and 18 super (green) absorbancy. I do wish they had a light /regular mix box for the lighter flow days which would also reduce TSS risk. I also don't use the supers. The individual packages are easy to open, and the full sized applicators have never failed on me like other brands.
