What an excellent sandpit! So glad we decided on the giant size vs large. Plenty of room for 2 kids - they are spending hours playing in here. Cover is good but i think will probably rip with constant use. We put 250kg of sand in but could definitely do with more. Easy job to assemble with 2 people. Highly recommended!

Easy to put together and great sized sandpit. I'd advise stapling the internal floor to the wooden sides to prevent any sand escaping if your ground isn't completely flat. As others have said, the cover isn't great, but helped by putting something underneath the middle of the sandpit to prevent too much pooling of water when it rains

Good size, pretty sturdy. Took about an hour to build. Put in 200kg of sand and its about a third full so probably need 275-300kg. The cover is flimsy but does stay on in strong winds. The material for the bottom is very thin and rips easily so i used a thicker material as well just to be on the safe side. Would recommend this sand pit. Would also like a wooden cover but i guess i’ll just have to make one myself. Quick delivery from the supplier which was good.
This is a really decent sized sandpit. It took my husband 2 hours to build - it would be better with a stronger base I think. We decided to staple to material to the base to help keep sand in the pit. You need way more sand than you think. I got 4x 25kg and I think we need another 8-10 bags to make it reasonably full! It arrived with 2 of the wooden beams chipped which was a real shame. Overall we are happy with it.
Excellent value for money. Straight forward to construct framework. Recommended purchase.As we were unsure how much sand needed to partially fill the pit it would be helpful to advise customers on the website.
Great sized sandpit with very handy side shelves/seats. The cover is just a flat sheet that sits on top though and isn't secured by elastic or any other means. You need to weigh it down at several corners and in heavy rain it just collapses and fills the sand pit with water. Otherwise fab but unless you're planning on emptying and storing during the autumn/winter worth bearing in mind!
Very spacious (took 12 bags of sand to 80% fill). Assembly was a little frustrating, we needed to trim a couple of side panels to get a smooth fit. The bottom of the sandpit is a synthetic fabric, we've already had a couple of small tears so hopefully it will last (am not looking forward to emptying all that sand out!). Cover is very handy and once-assembled, the sandpit looks great and is used constantly.
The assembly was ok but I was grateful to my hubby who knew how to re-drill a number of the holes/ screws as they wouldn't align properly. Once it was built though, it was clear we made the right choice. It has a lovely finished look, enough space for our two mini's and a very useful cover for when the fun is over. We used 12 bags of sand.. 14 would probably have been better.

The fact that the measures were given for a rectangular one, I took it as it is rectangular. On opening the box, there was an octogonal shape one. As it was supposed to be a surprise for my son, I thought I will compromise and try and fit it in the available space. Putting it together? Well, not so easy unless you have a perfectly flat ground or a bunch of "C" clamps to hold the panels straight to be screwed in. There are ready made holes in the panels for the screws to go through but no guide holes in the bit connecting them together to help you put them together straight...
