Chose this 4080 as it was one of the few that could fit in my mini ITX PC (CM NR200P Max case). Extremely happy with it. It's fast, runs cool at around 31 degrees for general use and staying under 60 degrees when being really pushed all while being virtually silent even when the fans ramp up. It's also incredibly energy efficient when not under full load. Despite being able to draw up to 320w, running older or otherwise less demanding games often sees it draw under 200w and even under 50w when playing some PC games from the X360/PS3 era at 4K. Idle power consumption is in the 10-15w range. While very large from a historical perspective it's one of the more compact RTX 4080's on the market and also one of the most aggressively priced 4080's too. Great graphics card really good performance and surprisingly quiet. But the reason for my rating is the size of the graphic card. I was shocked when I opened the box to see how big it is. Then it was installing it!! Even with the bracket I just about got contact with the port on the motherboard I had to hold it in position and slowly tighten it up. I was very close to returning it. Based on this I wouldn't recommend it.

Look folks, it's a simple measurement. When you do your research as I know all of you will, the difference between brands is totally nil. They are all using the same chips. They are all cheaply made and using plastic shrouds. So all your getting between the brands is a fancier fan... That's literally the only difference. I water-cool so the fan shroud has ZERO effect on my purchasing decision.I have been buying from PNY as a brand since 2006 and have never had one go bad on me, knock on wood. The often offer the best price, that coupled with a water block from Alphacool and boom my decision was made. I don't regret it, the card has been rock solid.

Upgrading from a 3080 is worth it!
21 April 2024

I upgraded from an EVGA rtx 3080 (10GB) and didn't expect much! Games look smoother (at 4k) and texture pop in has almost entirely been eliminated minus the games that have software issues. Total war Warhammer shows a visible circle as you get closer the troops change to higher quality. That circle disappeared and I see high quality from a zoomed out distance that's the same as the 3080.I tried DSR 1.25x and 2.25x but the 3080 couldn't handle the 2.25x good enough. Felt like a struggle at 1.25x. Most games I kept Image Scaling on at 3264x1836 to keep fps up.I've tested multiple games and turned off Image Scaling entirely! In fact I've started using DSR 2.25x on multiple games with no issue and higher fps than the 3080 could achieve at 1.25x!Glad I ignored so ... MoreI upgraded from an EVGA rtx 3080 (10GB) and didn't expect much! Problem is I delayed my purchase based on those comments.People don't know what they're talking about. Get this is you're at a 3080 or less. DSR 2.25x is beautiful

Very happy with my upgrade.
19 February 2024

After upgrading my PC in December, the next step was to upgrade my GPU to complete the build. My original thoughts were that 4070 may be the Ti but then the Super Serious was released. After much pondering, 4070 super or go all hog 4080 super, decided at MSRP I would go for the 4080 super.Did as much homework as I could and lander on this brand. So far I am extremely happy with my purchase, my hope was to make VR as good as possible and this 4080 super delivers. Paired with a 7800x3D CPU also purchased from Scan, I am hoping this will do me for a good few years. I was upgrading from a EVGA 3060 ti

[Rewarded Review] Apparent Fan Controller Issue on These.
8 February 2024

Just got my brand new card installed and noticed the fans sounded like they were revving up to 100% and back down quickly. Looks like there's an issue with the fan controllers. My buddy just got the same card and has no issues at all.I've filed a support ticket with PNY but this sucks. The card works beautifully but this fan rev is seriously annoying. Hoping they'll send me a replacement quickly as there's no stock for the 4080 Supers at the moment, so don't want to return it either.

Coming from a 3080 RTX, it increased my 3DMark benchmark score by 42% at stock. When I game, I am at 4k x 144 hz and it feels nice. I don't notice the sound of the fans for the most part.Dimensions are on the larger side and uses 3 8-pin power connectors (compared to one 8-pin connector.) The converter wire isn't stiff, so it bends nicely. A pleasant surprise was that it came with a GPU brace that can be installed on the motherboard side of the card. It doesn't interfere with the fan.One thing I don't like about the card is the lack of LED control. The "Epic-X" version has RGB customization through their VelocityX utility software. However, it can't control the LED on this card. [Rewarded Review] Fan's dont work
7 March 2024

The fans on this card don't respond to fan control software including PNY's Velocity, MSI Afterburner or any other fan controlAs a result, the fans on this card ramp up to 100% constantly making this card very loud and very annoying. The card is cool, always under 60c so the fans spinning this quickly is completely pointlessBuy a different one.

Gpu fits perfectly in my NZXT H9 Flow Build and its very quiet too. Had to buy a 180 degree adapter because the cable wouldnt alow me to put the glass panel on so look out for that if you have a smaller case. It performs extremely well plays games in 1440 effortlessly. Super clean design too. And for the price it’s honestly a steal. It comes with a sag bracket that screws into the motherboard. If you dont like flashy “Gamer” pc components this is the gpu for you.

[Rewarded Review] THIS IS THE CARD TO BUY
16 February 2024

I upgraded from a GTX 960 to this so performance wise, This card will last me a long time before I upgrade again. $1000 is what NVIDIA should have sold this card at so seeing it at this price with the performance offered was a no brainer. Might not be a worthwhile upgrade if jumping from a 30 series card, but for anyone running old hardware like I was, this should be your next purchase. The PNY card tho appearance wise is very basic, the value is insane and the card stays quiet and cool (70 degree max in game). Would buy again
