We had 2 of these bottles. They are durable and hold enough liquid for a bike ride. When twisted shut it stays closed and does not leak. All parts can be removed and cleaned separately. You can clean the parts by hand with soap and water. Personally I do not like the cleaning of the drink spout.

I should have done more research on the meaning of BPA, BPS or BPF (another bisphenol), so don't be fooled by fancy words. This is a misconception as it makes you think the product is not made from plastic therefore will not taste of plastic nor will you be swallowing oestrogen, however weak! It's going straight in the bin and I've learnt something today. Plastics must be banned in this country & those that sell plastic must held financially accountable.

Decent bottle. Compact enough to fit in both of my frames and the on/off switch and valve on the lid is super nice. Best of all, after 3 wash cycles now, this bottle seems to be top rack dishwasher safe! No more melted bottles that leak all over me when I use them.

What these Camelback water bottles lack is a retainer strap or ring connecting the cap to the bottle. Could you loose the cap outdoors? It is possible since the cap is not tethered to the bottle.Is it ever necessary to remove the cap besides when you are refilling the bottle. Probably not.Verdict: The Camelback Podium is better than a "bottled water" bottle, but there is some doubt about changing the traditional bicycle water bottle cap design. Caps can be lost when traveling outdoors.
This is a durable water bottle that I use for my bike adventures. I like the clear plastic so you can see how much water is left and if you're a person that's lax on washing it, it helps you see if there's any mold!The cap is awesome - it has an on/off valve that you can engage to really make sure it's sealed shut on top of the self-sealing nature of the cap. I just normally leave the valve open while I'm on a ride and just grab the bottle and squeeze it to drink. The self-sealing cap pretty much keeps any water from coming out of it when you don't want it to. The valve is a nice feature for when you want to throw the bottle into a backpack and want to make sure it doesn't leak.
As a lifelong runner, this is the best bottle I’ve owned. The size is perfect, it fits in the hand without a holder, and the valve is ingenious: even when turned to ‘open,’ nothing slops until you suck. To those quibbling about a sip being left at the bottom, I’ll say: focus more on form and less on saliva. This is all the hydration you’ll need between aid stations in a trail race.
Water still hasn't fallen out, soil still hasn't gotten in.It's so good at holding 21oz of water. You can put tap water, filtered water, flat water, soda water if you are feeling spicy but idk how that would go it might fizz up quick.Anyways if you are in the market for a new 21oz bottle, this is on the top of my list.You should buy it.
The water flow mechanism inside the cap is loose which allows the lock to move past the locked position.Not sure if it's defective or just loose tolerance in manufacturing. Also the bottle itself seems to have strange color fluctuation.I'm not sure if I should return for a new one because I might just get the same defect.Not sure if I'll order from here again.It was priced well with fast shipping.Thanks
I don't know why a water bottle needs to be so complicated. The cap is composed of way too many pieces. The complicated cap is supposed to provide an "easy squeeze and high flow" stream of water. Neither is true. All the additional pieces in the cap simply create more surfaces for bacteria to grow. The bottle is free of BPA, BPS and BPF, which is important. However, what is not disclosed (until you read the product literature that comes with the bottle) is that the bottle material contains an antibacterial additive (active ingredient is called hydroguard which is silver sodium hydrogen zirconium phosphate). I'll keep using my old bottle until I can find a better replacement.
