I practice calisthenics and in my mid 40s adopted “work smart NOT hard” motto Apple Watch was a good start but had so many things I did not use and lacked the things I would use. This (other than the dimly lit screen) which I am getting used to is the bomb! Love this. I connect my polar HRM strap to my chest and do my workout. Sleep track and all the other features are great info with just the watch happy to continue my athletic growth in my 50s with great insight! Go get some!!

This is a top quality sport watch with all the necessary programs to get you into the best shape of your life. I could write an essay on the multitude of benefits. It looks great on your arm too. Down side. as the watch gets older, the battery drops the charge quicker. I've had mine for 5 years. I also use the chest strap (H2) recording device which is 100 percent accurate with my HR. The Polar V watch is on average <+> 2 BPM as measured against three medical cardiac monitors.

The watch has a number of pros such as battery life, features, appearance and of course the polar flow app. The cons unfortunately outweigh the pros for me. The interface on the watch is a bit archaic. The heart rate monitor is very inaccurate. The H10 HR monitor does not sync to two devices at once which has caused my workouts to have inaccurate readings on a number of occasions. The side features with third-party apps are all complicated and even require monthly subscriptions to use them. Overall, the data in the polar flow app is the only reason that I might keep the watch. Other than that there is much to the watch that my Apple Watch doesn’t already do.

I have had previous model Vantage V and Vantage V2 is really nice upgrade. It is lighter, aluminium shell, connected music controls, it has great bracelet, changeable bracelet, more tests inside. Recommended to all.
I bought this to replace my Polar V800 and wasn't sure that I was going to like it. It certainly took some getting used too, but it is a great heart rate monitor. After getting used to the setup and trying some of the fitness tests, I've gotten to like it a lot. I definitely don't wear it while playing tennis (which I did with the V800) because I wear it on my left wrist since you need to wear it tighter, because of the optical reader, and I'm left-handed. I do recommend the watch for running and other sports, I think it's really great.
The watch is great. Many of the features I love. But polar made a huge mistake by making their watchband proprietary. If you want to do that, that is fine. But please make some better replacements Kieran the silicone causes me to itch like crazy. I’m constantly taking the watch off. They have woven material bands for their other watches but I can’t purchase it for what supposed to be their premium watch. If I didn’t throw out the box I’d be returning or exchanging this
I bought this watch because it looked well made and designed, and had features that Garmin does not have, like sleep recording. It is better than expected. Download the Polar Flow app and sync it to googled it, Strava, MyFitnessPal etc to get the most out of it. The watch is quite light to wear and the materials are well made and of good quality. Good value compared to other smartwatches.
I got the Polar Vantage V2 which came with the H2 heart monitor as a gift. Very competitive price; very well organised website and support. I am very pleased with this purchase. Well done first class watches!
After more than 2 months since buy and on everyday wear basis, I can say that Vantage V2 watches are good.I like that simple one device do many useful things:- track my recovery, sleep status, nightly recharge and 24/7 hearthrate tracking- track hearthrate when I do a pool swimming session- accurately track running, bike training sessions- battery life is about 4 days with 5-6 hours of training sessions (swim, bike, run)- they are looks great - not very big, but neatThe only small cons I noticed - suddenly they stopped syncing with PC polar flow via cable (but with phone app via bluetooth sync was fine). I did a factory reset, and problem was gone.
