This arm/wrist HR monitor is the most comfortable, convenient and accurate monitor I’ve tried. It is sooooo much more accurate than the iwatch and much easier to use than a chest strap monitor. Lightweight, easy to sync up, fairly good battery life (probably get a week’s worth of workouts on one charge). Can’t think of any complaints…
Thanks to the small armband, I can now record data for ANY workout. I train BJJ regularly, but cannot wear a wrist / watch style monitor. This arm band stays in place under my gi & safely records every workout without being a safety problem when I'm working a choke. I also get all of my "workout point credits" on my health app now. Batter lasts for several workouts & the data instantly loads into the Polar app when near my phone. I wish I knew about this monitor a couple of years ago!!
Honestly, I wanted more accurate real-time hear-rate data while swimming laps and it's not clear to me that this is any good at that. It seems that it syncs to the Polar Flow IOS app, not the Polar wristwatch that I'm wearing in the pool. My real-time heart rate appears to still be fairly inaccurate during drills. I give it a meh.
Accurate and very easy to use. Pairs easily with my Apple iPhone and my brother's Samsung phone (with both Polar Flow and Polar Beat). Is comfortable around the arm.
Worn on my forearm, the OH1 quickly locks onto my pulse every time - much better than my old wrist strap device. It pairs perfectly with my Wahoo Elemnt bike computer as well as my Android phone. I also like that it can be used standalone without pairing to a device. Minor complaint is that the OH1 unit is so small that it is awkward push/hold the one button and to remove the unit from the strap and place it in the charger. Also, the charger will go into a USB socket backwards. You need to make sure the LED comes on to be sure its plugged in the right way.
Have used the Polar Verity Sense Optical Heart Rate Sensor several times now with my new Form Swim Goggles and it works perfectly, giving me all the additional HR data I need, moment to moment, as I need it. And there are so many features I have yet to tap into. . . A must purchase for Form Swim Goggles.
Heart rate is accurate (compared it with a chest strap heart rate monitor) and the arm band is nice and less uncomfortable than a chest strap. Only very slight complaint is I have to recharge every four or so days (around an hour of use each day). But, the good news is it takes less than 1.5 hours to fully charge
