I already had five 1000 series "box" and two 600 series "box" Polaroids and always wanted an SX-70. After having bought an SX-70 Model 3 on eBay I thought the SX-70 family really was fantastic but craved for a SLR. Furthermore I had noticed my best photos with "box" Polaroids were the 600 ones so considered finding an SLR680 but when I learned for the Retrospekt converted Polaroids, I was delighted. I compared with other societies converting SX-70 to 600 and asked some Lomographers and some Instagrammers and finally learned that Retrospekt was the best.The Model B is precisely what I was looking for : the original smaller design without flash and autofocus and 600 film use. Beautiful all black converted SX-70! And the price was right. Takes great pics. The SX-70 along with the new generation film makes you work hard to get a successful shot but that’s part of the challenge and the fun! The great guys and gals at RETROSPEKT are the best. They are true experts and they care about their customers!!

So first. The ELEPHANT in the room.I have read and listened to a dude on YouTube call this product a SCAM!Made me a bit nervous. But I was so excited about a manual focused SLR!!!!And the price was great.I did check out Retrospekt and found them to be great from what I heard online (besides that loud guy I was talking about earlier.) Who did seem to have a awful experience with the company.the Verdict.The camera is damn good!I have shot 24 Polaroids. And the shots are crisp and the metering for lighting is spot on. I am very happy. But I do realize that this is a review for a camera I got 5 days ago. So take that for what it is.I wanted to write this soon, Do to the Scam guy I see online. And writing about what I see and experienced.

Fantastic conversion. I love being able to shoot with 600-series film and have enjoyed pairing it with my original SX-70. Great addition to my instant film photography collection.
The picture takes about 30 minutes to fully develop. I use the film from Impossible Project. It appears to be the most affordable film on the market and it is currently being manufactured so you don't have to use expired film. The picture quality is as good as any of the old polaroids. Does not comapare to digital, but I didn't expect it to. I have a lot of fun with this camera.
