Polder Wall Mount Retractable Accordian Drying Rack

It looks great! I love the functionality of the rack but I am concerned that the plastic will break. So far so good but I will update if anything happens.

A Lifesaver!

Since the day I purchased this wall-mount dryer, my life has been MUCH easier! Before, my husband and I would place clothes that we wanted to air-dry in random places such as bed posts, dining table chairs, and even on top of our dresser. Our house would look like an embarrassing disaster after our laundry came out of the washer! We now have a dependable place to hang these clothes and keep them out of the way. This wall-mount dryer holds fast to the wall, even when we weight it down with several sweatshirts and pairs of pants. It also retracts nicely when we are finished with it, making the wall look neat and clean. I highly recommend this product to those of you who fear the dreadful shrinking powers of your tumble dryers!

Accordion Dryer

Since we recently added a ceiling to our basement laundry room, this dryer was purchased for small items that are not placed in the large capacity dryer. We mounted the accordion dryer on the outside wall of the closet that is beneath the basement stairwell. The installation went smoothly. Once extended, we realized that we could also use the first rod for light items on coat hangers. This is definitely a major improvement over the clothesline that we had suspended from the exposed ceiling beams. If someone would have heavy or large items that needed air drying, this would probably not be substantial enough.

Basic - does the job

Screw attachments are insufficient for drywall. Also it needs a third screw at the base of each wall mounting point to stop it from lifting. Bars are thin and feel flimsy. It works for light items (eg swim costumes). I've yet to try it with heavier towels etc. It's a good space saver for tight areas, but won't fully replace my other clothes rack.

Difficult to install

This will work for what it is supposed to do, but I have a few complaints. The mounting hardware is not sturdy, I had to get out my Ikea collection of screws and anchors. The racks themselves varry enough from the dimensions shown in the instructions that I had to re-do the anchors twice. They look nice and I hope they will hold up to regular use.

Great for small spaces

We have a laundry "closet" for our washer and dryer, and this fits well in the space. Our washing machine is the older "top loading" style, so we had to leave enough space for the lid to open when the rack is extended. Something to consider when hanging it. I wish we had room for two of these racks since I air dry a lot of clothes and it generally fits about one load of drying items.

Love it!

Exactly what I needed. It is made of mostly plastic but sturdy. I use it for wet dish towels and I have had no issues.

Super Straightforward

Easy to put together and use. I got it for my closet laundry room and it's a wonderful space safer both during use and when it's closed.I'm a little scared to put my jeans on it because it's such a lightweight rack, but as other reviews say, it seems to hold up.Great choice for uncomplicated install and limited spaces.

Very functional!

I mounted this rack in my shower to hang swim suits after using the hot tub in the winter. Since I mounted it on the far side away from the faucet, I can still use the shower while the garments are drying. When it is not in use, I can collapse it and it is hidden by the shower curtain.

works great

I ordered this because we have very little space in our apartment and I didn't want to have a free standing rack open all the time. I found this very easy to install on the wall ( I did it by myself and it took maybe 10 minutes). It works wonderfully and when I'm done it goes back to the wall smoothly. For the price I thought it was worth trying and it turned out to be a great buy.
