Paired with a Toro MRX4 amp in my side by side originally I had purchased 4 speakers. These thing scream so loud and remain crystal clear only 2 were used. 4 of these would wake the dead. I decided to use the other set in my jeep wrangler paired with the same amp. Definitely worth the money. Over a year in and still just as good as the day they were installed.

Seen a few reviews judging the speakers for bad quality. But when powered, wired, and tuned correctly they sound amazing. I have 4 of them wired to a 400w amp in my truck and they have the sound quality and volume to compete with competition sound systems. The sound travels far with no distortion even at full volume. Great speaker for the price as long as you amplify it and not run it of the head unit.

These speakers are a joy and for the price are a must-do upgrade for people with older sound systems. I bought a pair after consulting reviews and honestly wasn't expecting too much, but the amount of difference and clarity in bass and highs were amazing! Installing isn't too difficult if you've done audio work or soldering before, also you may need to drill some mounting holes to fit these. I originally was just going to upgrade 2/4 speakers but I think I'll be buying another set!

Ive had these installed in the doors of my Scion FR-S for about 4 months now and they sound great. My doors are lined with Kilmat (Dynamat alternative) and it probably helps a lot with sound reproduction cause these things can definitely put out some bass for their size. These wont replace a sub or anything but they sure beat the factory speakers.These are very bright sounding speakers out of the box. Good thing my head unit has an auto equalizing feature that uses a microphone to do time alignment and equalizing automatically. Now they sound great and arent as bright as before. Theyre seeing about 100w rms to each speaker so a total of 200w rms and they are plenty loud. All in all, theyre great for the price and Id definitely recommend these and buy them again for ... Ignore the negative review. With proper quality external amplification these speakers are serious performers. Marine certification is a major plus. Perfect for a Jeep Wrangler in the dash or sound bar, as well as any vehicle that could be exposed to the elements. Must stress that u need 75-100 Watts per speaker of clean amplification. Your head unit won't get the job done. Great speaker and price.
I ordered these along with a pair of Polk Audio Db522 (5.25”) speakers. I am a Polk customer for home audio, so when my Harley-Davidson Touring bike needed an upgrade, Polk was on my list. Overall, these speakers sound great! Factory H-D stereos use Harman/Kardon components, so the bar was set high for sound. These 6.5” are loud, clear, and punchy. Obviously bass is going to be minimal from a 2-way speaker like this, but overall, the low-end performance is really solid. The power that these speakers can handle is impressive. Because these are marine grade, they were an obvious choice for a motorcycle, and I am not at all disappointed by their performance. If you are on the fence with these or Db series, rest assured you’re buying a quality product.
These Polk Audio speakers did not disappoint. I'm kind of a sound snob if you will and I like my system to sound clean and hit hard. These speakers are exactly what is described if not better! I'm super happy with my purchase considering I spent a solid couple months researching which set of speakers I wanted to go with this time.
I recommend these if you are going to be serious about how you install them. These replaced my old Kenwood coaxials that were worn out. I slapped them in and was disappointed with the amount of bass they produced. One thing was for sure though, they were crisp and clear being driven by my pioneer HU. Later I went back and actually installed them, mdf peaker rings, sound dampening in the doors and wow what a difference. That midbass finally came alive. These speakers will play rock music really well especially after you drive them with an appropriate amp. Pros: crisp clear sound, tight accurate bassCons: may not get the bass your looking for unless yo some treat your doors. But hey sound treat yours and get a solid sub and it will rock!

Unfortunately, Polk changed their speaker design from the 651's, which had an adjustable tweeter for directing the high frequencies. These are fixed. I missed that!!! I should have stopped right then, but I installed these speakers in the seat bases. Call me an audio snob, but they simply do not do it for me. All of the high frequency detail is lost to your feet. Don't get me wrong, they still sound OK, but they would sound far superior if they were installed higher, or angled up. I will be replacing these with speakers that have an adjustable tweeter or with component speakers. I have searched high and low ... One of the speakers was damaged. The tweeter component was not attached to the woofer base. I used superglue to reattach and sound quality appears to be OK. Did not get any the hassle to return the product. Appears the damage occurred at packing time by the manufacturer or at assembly time because shipping box was not damaged at all.
