'24 classic fit RL Polos narrow, straight, short

We purchased three Ralph Lauren Polo shirts, both mesh and soft cotton, size large, classic fit, June 2024, assuming they would fit like previous shirts from 1-2 years ago. My husband looks weird in the new "classic fit" polo of 2024. The shirts are narrow, straight, short; sleeves are narrow, short. So disappointed in the style. Looks like a quasi classic/slim fit, and he does not want to wear them. Money spent for nothing--he must continue to wear the old sz large "classic fit" polos until he finds a brand that fits.

Beautiful colour and fits great!

I loved the colour and bought this for my dad for his birthday - he's said definitely not a slim fit but looking at the measurements he would be still within the sizing and thought I'd take my chances. Actually fit really great and didn't need sizing up! Read a similar review also that sizing wouldn't be an issue and completely agree so thank you! My dad loves it too, comfortable to wear and not clingy or anything either. Lovely colour for summer and to brighten up those grey days too.

Good classic shirts

It's hard to find shirts that are 100% cotton these days. Like all Ralph Lauren shirts, it fits me fine in the body but a bit tight around the neck compared to other polo shirt brands at the same size (medium). Take that into account if you plan on buttoning it up all the way. But if you don't like to button up your polos all the way, it shouldn't be an issue. It's clearly a high quality shirt and I really appreciate that it's all natural fiber and no synthetic threads. I would highly recommend this shirt.

Online Quality
9 January 2024

Most clothing i bought from Macy's online had to be reuturned due to poor quality or fitting and stitching finish. It seems they selleing compromising merchandise to online shoppers, I have been wearing same brands for years and never had this issue, even if i buy in store its completely different. Watch out for last call items as they are not returnable. Very bad business strategy by Macy's. Not to mention giving bad name to top brands as they selling cheaper quality to online shoppers for the same price as in person shopping.

Picking fit and size is complicated but cán work
13 August 2024

It took me time to find a last remaining Dahlian Pink Polo. You really to work the measuring tape to get through all details of the available fits (Slim, Custom Fit, Classic). My XL Slim is much larger than my L Custom Fit. I ordered L Classic but got L Custom Fit. Luckily the fit was OK. I would have hated sending it back and Dahlian Pink was hard to come. I now have a PhD in Ralph Lauren fits and size. Consider getting sizekick.io services. Greetings, Hendrik

Quality has gone down
14 July 2024

I been wearing the mesh polo shirt for 30 years but the quality in the past 4 or 5 years has deteriorated. The collars either shrink up tight or lay flat but with ends at the front curling up. It looks terrible like a cheap shirt. Also the ribbing on the sleeves(short sleeve) folds up and does not have the elasticity of the older shirts. Again, this is a cheap low quality shirt feature. I bought these shirts at a Macy’s and also at a Polo outlet store. I’m done with polo. They are now low quality and high priced I’m sad to say.

Sizes not as shown
8 June 2024

Bought 4 polos following a wardrobe refresh. Two black Large were perfect and match the size chart. However the grey marl and the white large are around 3 inches shorter and much tighter around the arms. Not what you'd expect from a premium company. Shame I stupidly binned the receipt. However I'm dubious about buying anymore as the sizes are either small masquerading as Large, or when I bought an XL to compensate before it was like a tent. Not happy.

Still a great shirt, but some not so much
15 July 2023

I’ve been wearing these shorts for about 40 years. There have been changes over the years. The quality has gone down a little. The packaging is pretty fancy. But the one thing that does bother me a bit is the fit of the arms. I’m a fairly athletic guy with decent sized arms and about 50% of the shorts come with baggy looking arms that look like they are stretched out. I attribute it to poor quality control and different manufacturing facilities. It’s weird that one shirt will fit fine, and the next of the same shirt but different color will look baggy. I still wear them, but I thought I would post this so Polo knows.

The benchmark for quality Polo shirts!
28 May 2024

These really are great shirts, I have half a dozen in various colours now. The custom slim fit pattern just fits so much better than the classic polos do. The quality is excellent, and they are pretty hardy in terms of durability. I will continue to buy them, although for me personally, their cost is the biggest negative. They are overpriced for what they are. I recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality, and well fitting Polo shirt.

very low quality material.
6 November 2023

This review is for Green Billiard shirt. The reason why I specified is because I noticed that the quality of material can be different in different colors (different manufacturing source?). Very low quality of cotton - "fuzzy" - short fiber cotton used, resulting in thick "hairy" threads of the tissue. This could be kinda ok in a $20 polo shirt, but definitely not in a $110 one. I have many older Polo, Purple label and other polo shirts, I can compare. Quite disappointing. The fit is ok though.
