When you buy a polo shirt from a company so renowned for them they have "polo" in their branding, it had better be good. Thankfully, this is. The cut and fit are great: although marked as slim fit, I'm not of an athletic build and didn't feel uncomfortable or tightly wrapped. In fact, the fit feels more like a "tailored" (i.e. half way between slim and normal). Other than that, the manufacture appears great. Expensive, of course, but worth it as a treat.

This is a great quality item. I've purchased many Ralph Lauren items before and this item is up to it's usual standard. You know what you are getting. This jumper is great for those evenings you want to dress smart casual and easily fits into my wardrobe. This item was slightly tighter than I expected, but the larger size was far too big, so I stuck with my normal size.
5'9 and medium build, the medium fits perfectly in every way. The material is soft, stretchy, with just the right level of slim fit cut all round. There's 2 buttons, but you don't really need to fasten any of them. The cuffs are not tight so you can easily roll the sleeves up when the weather warms up. It may be expensive but it's an item of clothing that will last and can be worn for many different occasions, so worth spoiling yourself over!
After purchasing the white top I have now also purchased the blue one. The issue is inconsistent sizing for what should be the same item. The blue one is over 1 inch shorter in the sleeves from the white top, both are size medium. I'm probably going to return the blue one now after wearing it and realising when I was out with friends that something was just not right about it. Bitterly disappointed with the quality and really unsure how a top at this price can have such a variance in sizing. I would not recommend based upon the poor quality vs. the price one pays.
As usual with Ralph Lauren a quality item. However I ordered XXL instead of XL and have no return label to facilitate an exchange. I wonder if one could be posted to me as I do not have printing facilities. Thanks
For many years I have purchased and worn these shirts, and I have always known that size between classic fit and custom slim fit for me is different.I purchased this in L, which I always do but it is the equivalent of an XL.
The length in the body and arms is great, as I'm tall I normally find any long sleeve tops short in the arm which pulls the body up but this isn't a problem with this top and both the arm length and body length are perfect. The quality of the fabric and the manufacture are excellent and are what you would expect from a brand such as Ralph Lauren. I'm a 40'' chest and went for a large which gave me a looser but shaped fit, medium would give be true tailored fit. The design looks very smart and would work well for work situations. I'm very please with this item and would definitely buy this style of top from Ralph Lauren again.
As a long-sleeved top, ideal piece of clothing as we move into autumn. It's a heavier cotton but still breathable so can be worn on it's own or under a jacket. The slim fit means it would work for layering purposes. As you would expect from a Ralph Lauren product, the quality is excellent with good solid stitching throughout. I had a size small which fits well. I don't have to roll the sleeves up and the overall length of the garment is good. As it comes in other colours, I'm considering buying another one - I'm very happy with the polo shirt - expensive but worth it!
