This will give you a effective starter set. Often the sales are at Christmas. I do like the EDT, but it only lasts several hours. It’s more of a winter cologne too, limiting if compared to say the blue. Polo makes average colognes. This one on sale, but I think you’ll be happier spending more for Chanel or Dior. Those are more sophisticated and versatile. Projection on this one is lacking. It’s a skin set.

Some might not be thrilled, but that attention to detail is epic. You can find this for $50 on sale. That’s a remarkable value. While it’s not a multipurpose, when wearing it the beast more light is on. It is bold and sometimes a guy prefers this approach. The overall sweetness is done right. Polo has some guts to sell this, and it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Yet the scent quality and fun factor make it a must have.

I sampled this cologne and immediately noted two prominent notes. Both of the notes included a pleasant citrus fragrance and a hint of spiciness that shone through. The spice within seems to be the linchpin that holds all of this fragrance together. The whole design of this fragrance is based on red notes. They play an important part of this EDT. They produce this scent to become an epic and unique fragrance that takes simple reds and turn them into a masterpiece by taking simple notes to combining them into something familiar but able to stand out from the rest. The way that this scent is it reminds me Christmas. That’s not a bad thing. In the middle of summer this can be a nice diversion from the dog days of summer.

I Smell Sex and Candy…

Mmmm! This EDP Is Completely Different from the Original Polo EDT RED. My Husband wore the Original Polo Red for years mostly because no other fragrance would stay with him for more than about 5 hours. At first I thought this was too weak, but I was WRONG! It isn’t weak at all, it’s just DIFFERENT. The Polo Eau De Parfum, being completely different than the Polo Red in any form in the Solid Ceramic bottle design, reminds me of those Candy Red-Hots that I ate as a child. Also reminds me of the scent of Ginger Tea and Cinnamon Rolls. Try It!

RALPH LAUREN MESSED UP!

When I first purchased Polo Red Extreme, I was approached by several women asking, "What was the name of the cologne I was wearing". They all wanted to purchase this cologne for either the boyfriend or husband. I've purchased many, many colognes over the years and all of high quality. But, by far, this is my total favorite. All I can say is, "Ralph Lauren really messed up when they discontinued Polo Red Extreme".

Review of RL POLO RED EXTREME 125ML EDT

I came in on Saturday to look for the ‘red intense ralph lauren men’s perfume’ but unfortunately i wasn’t sure of the name at the time so when I asked the red Ralph lauren to the lady that served me, she first showed me the ‘red bottle’ perfume and when I described the bottle having a black stripe in the middle she showed me the intense bottle but told me it was called “extreme”. After trying the intense perfume i knew it was the perfume i was after and hence after discussing the price i asked the lady to go ahead with it. Smells like a knock-off version of Polo Red

The two variations of the original Polo Red EDT - Intense and Extreme - were OUTSTANDING! I was very disappointed to find out that both have been discontinued and replaced by this Polo Red perfume. I figured, this new product would smell similar to the discontinued products, so when I saw it on sale on Black Friday, I didn't think twice and purchased it. I don't know whose idea it was to stop manufacturing the Intense and Extreme EDT but this new product is rather lackluster. It smells pretty much the same as the original Red EDT but it is NOT as long-lasting as the EDT. Please, reconsider bringing the Intense EDT and the Extreme EDT back. This perfume is simply not on the same level.

Solid not Great

Great scent, it comes off much sweeter/with more citrus feel than the original polo red. Intensity is not as advertised however, longevity just isn’t there for a scent in this price point. Initial/top notes I find to be a bit more mature than regular red however regular red’s bottom notes are much more pleasing/longer lasting when considering the different price points. Overall wears better in cooler temps/at night.

Longevity wise, finalllyyyyyy…they made a Red cologne with some really good longevity. Red Intense wasn’t bad, in this regard, but Red Extreme is bordering on excellent. This is an all day kind of wear but doesn’t hit the same length as something such as One Million.In terms of projection, this stuff is fairly strong, and can be too much if you over spray but one or two spritzes should be enough. The sillage is pretty potent in the early stages, though, it moderates much more as it wears on. Not a complete bomb, but it can be too invasive, at times.
