I love cleaning my face when I have makeup up on, and the way I clean my face, just like the ladies in 1950’s, I take few tissue and clean my face after putting the cream all over my face! It gets every trace of makeup off my face then I wash it with a mild soap to leave my face moist from the cream! My mom always had a jar of this on her bathroom Vanity. She used it in her nighttime routine to remove her makeup and she had flawless skin. Now I am struggling with dry dehydrated skin and my foundation looks dry. I remembered back to my mom and swung by my local grocery store and got a jar of this. This is the second step in my nighttime routine of makeup removal. Step 1 is oil and this is step 2. The formula is very thin and slippery. It glides on and just rips through whatever the oil does not take off. This is a great thing unscented makeup removal that it literally at the bottom of the makeup section in the grocery store. What a great price and great alternative to high end products. This is to mom! I will add this to my routine too!

Best affordable makeup remover

You get such a large size for a great price. It takes my makeup off so quickly and easily and leaves my skin very soft afterwards. I took away one star because this is a scented product. I really wish it was unscented so more people (with sensitivities) could use this. The other reason is that it makes my eyes very cloudy. It doesn’t burn or sting but it leaves a cloudy haze to my vision, so I have to rinse my face (and eyes) really well and sometimes I’ll use eye drops to help clear any remaining out from my eyes. Other than those two cons, it is a great product and I will continue to repurchase it. Just please consider making it without fragrance.

Bring back the old formula!!

Please update your piece to include the fact that the current formula is NOT the formula that our grandmothers used. The original contained: mineral oil, water, beeswax, ceresin, sodium borate, fragrance, carbomer. 7 ingredients. The name maybe 100 years old, but the formula is not. I was a loyal user and LOVED the original. When the formula changed, it caused terrible burning in my eyes and was very uncomfortable to use. I couldn’t understand it! Until I looked at the ingredients. I now use Albolene because it’s gentle, but I miss the smell of Ponds.

Leaves unpleasant, thick film on skin

I’ve used several “cleansing balms” before, and I’ve tried using this cold cream in several different ways, but every time my face ends up covered in a thick, horrible film. It does remove face makeup decently well, but even after a secondary cleanse with a Cerave cleanser, I still felt like my face wasn’t really clean. I’ve also noticed more breakouts than usual after starting this product, so I don’t trust that it’s truly noncomedogenic. I genuinely dislike this product, and that’s pretty uncommon for me to say. I feel like it’s so thick, that it’s clogging up my sink drain. This is definitely getting returned.

The product has a slight typical cream scent, color is white, average creamy texture and it's size will go a long way.Before purchasing, I checked that this is fungal acne safe however, it gave me whiteheads afterwardsI tested it for a few months every night as my daily makeup remover. I used it with a reusable makeup remover pads before taking a shower then rinse it with CeraVe facial wash. After a few washes, I felt that the cream didn't really removed from my face at all.I do not apply heavy makeup but I need something that can remove my japanese sunscreen so I now I am using Bioderma Crealine H20 ( Sensibio) as my daily makeup remover for a sensitive and combination skin. Never had the same problem ever since.

Ponds is always great, PACKAGING TERRIBLE

I've used Ponds my whole life, as did my mother. It has stood the test of a very long time, gently mremoving the most stubborn make-up over the years. However, it has become sooo much more expensive in stores, with smaller sizing, so I tried buying it thru Walmart. I received 2 containers of Pink Stuff detergent powder %26 5 jars cold cream in same box. Only a small half sheet of brown paper was underneath all the items. The items themselves were all loose, not even wrapped in a piece of paper, with a lot of empty space on top of the jumble of items. The box was also too big. With nothing to hold contents in place, %26 thrown into a large box, the jars %26 detergent got tossed around inside the box. At least the Ponds jars are made of studier plastic than the detergent containers %26 were able to withstand the impact of banging around in the cardboard box while in transit. I'm left with all the clean up, wiping down the jars %26 the floors to remove all the powder, but I got the cold cream!The only caveat, I couldn't find an expiration date on any of the jars. There were some numbers, but I haven't had time to call Ponds, to check what they mean.If possible, when placing an order with Walmart, try to ensure products are secured %26 packaged properly %26 safely, %26 try to ask for expiration dates (cosmetics, health care items, vitamins etc).

You are to apply this to your dry face first before wiping off with cotton or a warm washcloth. It does not glide on easily unless you apply more than a teaspoon. Your skin is getting pulled hard while rubbing with this substance which feels a little less dense than petroleum jelly but leaves your fingers and skin coated with a greasy film after wiping, rinsing, and double washing with a water based skin cleaner for oily skin! (I used Cetaphil for Oily Skin). You really need the washcloth to remove it, and who wants to go through cotton pads and a washcloth after a double wash?
