Pop Tarts Frosted Hot Fudge Sundae, 384 G

About 30 years ago these frosted cherry pop-tarts were amazing! There was frosting from edge to edge. Currently the picture on the box is completely false advertising! The frosting is not as pictured and sometimes there just a smudge in the middle, and I’m not talking about a clump just a small smear of frosting. I’m surprised I don’t see more complaints about the product. Maybe people think that’s how it’s supposed to be. Sadly the off brands have frosting edge to edge. Even the filling in the pop-tart brand is lacking. There’s barely any filling. Like I said 30 years ago they were absolutely AMAZING!!! It’s a shame when companies get too big, they forget how they got started, and take short cuts to keep pushing product out and forget about the quality of the product.

I first bought a pack of these at Walmart not expecting much. Awesome flavor! They greatly exceeded my expectations so I ordered the case from here. The crust is flavorful and the filling is delish. I've ended up eating more than my son whom I bought them for. They're so good that we've never even bothered to toast or warm them up. The only downside when you buy so many boxes is it’s easy to eat way more than you should. Happy Now...With Walmart

At first, I was upset, because I believed that a change had been made to my order without authorization. It turned out that after I had taken a photo of the box, I discovered that it had a different image on the other side. I had not seen the front until I flipped it over to see if the ingredients were in fact OK. Now, I'm pleasantly surprised in every particular. My beef is now with the manufacturer for creating a false front. Bad company. Good Walmart.My order was brought to my car quickly and professionally. Thumbs up!

Never buying again.

Don’t know why but this batch of pop tarts has rock hard frosting, unable to brake in half or cut. I usually eat them straight out but since these are not edible uncooked. i toasted them to soften them up, but after they were toasted the frosting was still to hard but the edges were crumbly. Toasted it a second time and only the corners ended up burned and the frosting outside was ok but the filling was very dry and tacky. Completely unable to eat. They even tasted old even though it doesn’t expire until october 2023. I’ve never seen/had a pop tarts that was this difficult to eat.

Not Peach Cobbler or Peach Anything!

To be fair I am picky about fruit flavors. For example I think the raspberry has a good fruit flavor although it would be better if less sweet. I love peach cobbler so I thought I would like those especially based on the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, these have very little discernible peach flavor. It has an odd flavor -- not something I could easily identify; almost unpleasant -- but mostly just too sweet.Sadly, I cannot recommend this particular flavor. Many of the other Pop Tart flavors are quite good. Not that anyone should eat Pop Tarts on a regular basis but they are great in a pinch.

Phenomenal

Somehow, trying this beloved flavor of Pop-Tart has evaded me until today. I finally got my hands on a box of these and was eager to try them. The neon-colored frosting was a bit unappetizing to my refined palette, but I understand that adults with refined palettes are not necessarily your target audience, The filling on the inside was sweet but not overwhelmingly so, and the flavor was similar to a strawberry/blueberry combo. Upon inspection, I could see bits of real fruit inside, which made me feel better about my decision to put yet another box of Pop-Tarts into a body that hardly eats enough health foods. Overall, 10/10 flavor, 4/10 appearance. An unfrosted version would be a great solution to this.

Why not unfrosted?

These happen to be my favorite flavored Pop tart filling ever, but did to the frosting i tend to often buy unfrosted strawberry. Unfortunately every time i bite into a frosted Pop tart the frosting scrapes my teeth which makes it really uncomfortable for me. There are times i decide to endure just to enjoy the flavor, or i peel off the top layers and press the remaining halves together which wastes A LOT of the pastries. I wish Kelloggs would consider releasing an unfrosted version, or at least make it to where we could custom order any flavor with our without the frosting. Imagine, I'm just 1 person and i keep my circle moderately sized to small, and i know several people that have mentioned that unfrosted wild berry would be there favorite flavor if offered. I truly hope someone from their team reads this and somehow makes this a mini dream come true!

This was a flavor that I hadn’t tried only because I feared committing to a whole box, but I'm very glad I finally got around to it. The chocolate crust was a pleasant surprise, as was the off-grey color of the filling. The chocolate swirl design on top was cute, and the sprinkles were not as invasive as I thought they would be. I couldn’t really tell what this tasted like (nor did it have any flavor or temperature resemblance to its namesake??), but I loved it nonetheless. It was not overwhelmingly sweet, the flavors meshed well, and it is definitely worth the commitment of buying a full box.
