185 x 30 mm 2.4m Standard And Better Pine DAR most of the pieces were bowed managed to select 3 of the best pieces still with a slight bow in them that I had to sand down otherwise the wood was true to size and a very nice wood grain

It was ok. I had to do a click/collect to buy the 6 pieces of moulding. Some of the pieces were a bit rough. I would have rejected those pieces if I was doing the selecting.

When a product description says 12mm x 12mm and it turns out to be 12mm x 11mm, there's a problem with quality control somewhere in the process

Lovely timber to work with . Straight and smooth finish.
It was needed for outdoor application to fill an open gap. Well primed ,and partially sheltered, it fitted well, was secured with liquid nails and painted. over. Now a solid piece of handiwork.
I had nine of these in my order. Several of them were poorly planed or not planed at all on one or more sides, so not "dressed all round" as advertised. One was extremely rough. Most were straight, but a couple had quite bad bends near one end.
Very disappointed with the quality for the price. Most pieces twisted and bowed which makes building with long pieces very difficult. The only straight piece was unusable as there were huge chunks knocked out of it. I love the idea of DAR timber in these sizes but the quality needs to be improved.
I needed various sizes of Tasmanian oak DAR to complete the installation of my new entrance door frame. Each length was true and fully usable i.e. no curves, twists or damage. Not bad, for an on line order! Size variety is awesome, too.
This is a very different product from the more frequently sold product by bunnings that has a superior colour and grain pattern. These products are not suitable for use together.
Made from short off cuts glued together. Strong joints. good to use out of the weather
