I was doing a course in bad weather , high winds and rain and it coped excellently. If there is one thing that could make it even better and 100 % , it would be a front 2 - way zip.

Because of it's weight, I suspect that it will be too warm for Summer use. Also concerning the pants that I also purchased. In order to not be walking on the bottom of the legs, I had to purchase a smaller waste size, and those are too tight to wear, period.Overall, not a good experience. Pants sizing was too limited.

I do not understand the purpose of this jacket. It is not waterproof in a hard rain or even a light drizzle. It just doesn't make sense. It's not even good for a windbreaker because it's plastic and will make you uncomfortable. I bought a waterproof jacket and wound up absolutely soaked my first time out. How the main selling point of this jacket isn't even a thing makes no sense.
Bought for my husband who walks for miles everyday. He is delighted with the coat. Keeps him warm and dry and is very comfortable. He thinks the bands on the cuffs are excellent! Says a draught wouldnt get up!
Bought for 16 year old for his work. Got size Medium as he is tall, but he wanted room in the jacket. Very impressed with quality. Good fit. Already bought his work overalls aswell from GS and also impressed.
Finally a Light weight HiVis Vest with pockets Good quality, looks smart, but more importantly has 5 goods size pockets , pen holder and other features. Just a well designed item.
Good quality workwear, have had a team stood in the pouring rain for hours wearing these and they hold off the rain for long periods. Warm quilted jackets, sizes are also usual to any other garment.
This jacket is worth the $34 I paid for it. The exterior is fine. The lining is THIN! (like you can see light shine through it thin). Don't get the idea this is a stand alone winter jacket. It is a good two season coat, spring and fall (I live in SW Michigan). I plan to use it this winter but I will have to layer and maybe that isn't a bad thing. There is no drawstring around the waist so cold air can blow up your back. There are no loops for a mic or small exterior pockets. The lining in the outside pockets is thin nylon and the stitching feels like it is coming apart already. All that said it is worth the $34 I paid. Had I paid $50 I would have returned it and asked for my money back. If your outside job is demanding then skip this coat. My job is a lot of walking ... MoreThis jacket is worth the $34 I paid for it. The exterior is fine. The lining is THIN! (like you can see light shine through it thin). We have had these Portwest Hi-viz padded jackets for years. Warm, waterproof and wash well. Highly recommended. Not expensive and perfect outdoor workwear.
