After buying a yellow posca marker I wanted to get a black paint marker.. but the ink is like a permanent marker and it sits on my paper pretty much the same way. I wanted black opaque paint not an overpriced permanent marker. I feel like a chump. Also because dickblick's pricing is steep compared to a competitors. I should've gotten a different color. Waste of $

I have used many a brand of paint marker over the years, and POSCA markers are *by far* the best bang for the buck. Their longevity of use is the best I've come by without a significant loss of quality; when they are at their end, you know it. I use them in my everyday artistry for fine line detailing that I don't trust a paintbrush for. My partner is a musician, and they are PERFECT for signing CDs, photos, and other items. I cannot recommend these enough!!And yes, while I was enticed to write a review for #sweepstakes purposes, I genuinely do stand by this product. I used to use Decocolor Paint Markers, but these work SO MUCH BETTER and last a whole lot longer, without losing pigment quality like the Decolors do.

Had so much fun using these Paint Markers on shirts and pants that had a little stain or imperfection. Just making little flowers, vines, hearts, etc. Great for adults and kids too! Let them make little designs on their cloths which would otherwise be ruined. Great fun and activity to do by yourself or with your kids. Brings the imagination and creativity out! Also, A for not fading or coming out in the wash!!!

Very pleased so far with results of these markers. Using them to paint on jeans and Teeshirts. Easy bright colors . Painting on blue jeans I needed to do first coat of white (acrylic tube) paint and let that dry. The posca pens needed are not as opaque as I thought they would be. Have used them for four days that included a large area of painting. So glad that I purchased them. Want the larger tips next. Recommend watching YouTube tutorials on how to care for pens and techniques
Bought open stock in various colors and tips to try, from fine to chisel and bright colors plus brown. The instructions to bring the paint from the barrel to the tip worked well. They did not bleed through two different brands of multi-media sketchbooks. When they arrived I did a spontaneous sketch and found out they're fun for sketching and doodling. I find they inspire me to put something on paper when I'm blank. Information I've come across says they are not lightfast but haven't tried fixative or any coatings so don't know how that would work. Also, not waterproof though not blendable. Watercolor markers won't cover and they have a matte finish. Curious to see if they really stick on glass? Yes, unlike Sharpies, they don't smear and are easy to apply. Again, not ... MoreBought open stock in various colors and tips to try, from fine to chisel and bright colors plus brown. Again, not permanent and will wear off but temporarily marking a spice jar will do fine.
All Posca markers in this order worked fine. However, all but two were returned. This was not the medium needed, and would not have worked for our projects. Fortunately, seeing and touching these markers gave a feel for the end users to zero in and find the more appropriate highlighters. Thanks to you customer service for directing this purchase to a smaller batch to sample and review, thus avoiding the hassle of buying and returning a bulk quantity.I would prefer my subsequent purchase of simple samples to be sent by more expedient and economical USPS 1st class.
I have been using POSCA paint pens for a few years now and they are incredibly versatile! I’ve had success using them on canvas, all types of paper, on resin (cured), on fabrics, on glass, over watercolours, on metals snd I’m sure there are plenty of other ways to use them that I am yet to discover. The pens basically draw like regular markers but keep their colour/opacity and can draw on a greater range of surfaces. You may need to seal the pen to ensure it doesn’t rub off or scratch, this really depends on the surface you apply it to. I think they may have improved the pen designs as these nibs were much nicer than the ones I purchased years ago, the nib is more precise (so creating intricate designs is much easier), the paint flows better and it’s easier to prep ... MoreI have been using POSCA paint pens for a few years now and they are incredibly versatile! The pens take a small amount of prep to use for the first time which involves shaking the pens to get the little metal ball rolling, you press and hold the nib against a hard surface to get the paint flowing and then you are basically good to go. Pens can go dry over time and may simply require a few good shakes and to press the nib against a hard surface again, or you may need to remove the whole nib to clean it before it will work again.
