True to size (XL), low profile with no doughy feeing and zero puffiness. Used the wax pack included with the purchase. Wore in temps as low as 14 degrees F and as high as 40. Never cold or hot - zero hand sweat. Truly waterproof and super lightweight. Worth the price.

Looks nice on the website, but this is the second pair of "Extra Large" gloves that do not match the sizing chart (previous pair were Burton's). Too tight across the middle of the hand even though my hand measures ~9.25" around. Large should have fit, but even XL does not. Not sure who thought to call this XL as they are also too short and my fingers jam into the end yet the thumb does not fit all the way into the glove (mitten, actually). Never used them so not sure how warm they would be, but they do seem a bit on the thin side. Sorry but these are going back....Not sure what to do now.

All gloves (mitts) are the same you say? Well maybe because you haven't tried these POW Royals yet !! These thing are functional and adventure driven!! The stitching is spot on and from 1st glance you can tell they're built to last. Super comfortable and super warm! My hands were dry and stayed that way all day. The included wrist gators are placed well and do what they were born to do absolutely love these mits and you will too.

Great gloves, used for 2 weeks in Niseko with some thin merino glove liners for some extra warmth. Hands stayed dry and warm the entire time.Bought size XLThe only con is that the wrist is really narrow. My jacket doesn't have wrist gaiters so I rely on my hoodie thumb loop which is thicker than normal gaiters. The narrow wrist makes it hard to get my hand in and is a bit constricting.
I bought these mittens because everything else I would buy fell apart after about 10-12 days on the hill. Synthetic materials just don't last. I liked that these are real leather and have a goretex insert. They keep my hands perfectly dry. They do run small. I got the XL. My hands are not wide but my fingers are long. If you have wider hands these would not fit. Also I have had warmer mittens than these. So on cold days, if it fits...A Liner glove would warm things up if you tend to have cold hands. That said, these are great mittens! They are durable and worth the money. One piece of advice, they give you a packet of Nikwax waterproof goop. It's messy and honestly it was a hassle to use. After not being satisfied, I ordered a tube of SNO-SEAL. It's a waterproofing wax for leather. I applied a generous amount and polished them to a smooth shiny finish. The leather stays dry even on our wet pnw weather days.I finally found a good mitt. Thanks POW!
I bought Large first of all which were too small. I returned them (at my expense) and bought XL. I have absolutely normal sized hands for a six foot tall man and yet the XL were also too small meaning that the mittens were useless. Sadly I only discovered this when I was in the resort and had disposed of the labels so I am stuck now with £110 mittens that are useless for me
Thoughts after putting 4 days in them:- Good for temps around 20~30F IMO. Last time out was in the low teens, wish I had something warmer.- Made sure to use the Nikwax water repellent pouch the mitts come with before season started, definitely helped as my previous royal mitts were not treated and the leather would get soaked quickly.- I had some older versions of the Royal mitt from 5-6 years ago that used a hipora insert at the time. The goretex in this year's model seems to help with my hot/swampy hands better. For the price I paid (-20%) I'd say they're solid mitts for mild conditions. Will see how my hot/sweaty hands fare later into the season.
Leather is thin and started tearing after third rope tow of the season, even after proper wax application. Good waterproofing, poor insulation and doesn't come with a separate liner. Luckily I ordered oversized and can still use my old ones. Velcro catches a lot of snow but never gets too wet.
So these mitts are mininovens! If you suffer from cold hands and hate battling the individual finger sleeves of gloves these mitts are the ones for you! My hands are kept warm and dry! They also have a handy-dandy wrist strap so when can take them on and off as your hands get too hot and do not have to worry about dropping one of the ski lift!
these r so sick. the leather is soft and supple, and my hands feel like furnaces even on the coldest days, but they never get too hot, even on the warmest days. because of the goretex my hands never get sweaty and they are comfy too
