Prada - Luna Rossa Carbon - Eau De Toilette Spray 1.7 oz

I love lavender and bergamot so I wasn’t surprised that I liked this fragrance but I was surprised at how much I was enjoying the woody notes from the patchouli and amber. I don’t usually gravitate towards any fragrances with those two scents but I feel like their addition added a warmth that makes this an appropriate winter fragrance. My fiancé was also surprised that he liked it as much as he did. We both tend to prefer clean, fresh scents (some fruity florals for me) so this was a welcome change. This fragrance does remind me of other colognes that are currently available. Because this is a eau de toilette rather than a parfum, the longevity is not as long as a it is with a parfum, it smells strong at first spray but settles nicely and lasts around 6-8 hrs. Because this is a eau de toilette rather than a parfum, the longevity is not as long as a it is with a parfum, it smells strong at first spray but settles nicely and lasts around 6-8 hrs. We both prefer parfum over toilette sprays but the scent and the sillage justify the purchase, especially if you don’t already own something similar. If you are a fan of the scent notes, are looking for a warmer fragrance for the winter, or simply looking for something outside of your comfort zone, try this fragrance. We didn’t receive an actual bottle as we received a sample sized tester so I can’t compliment on the actual bottle but it looks nice.

It has TopNotes of bergamot and pepper, middle notes of lavender, metallic notes, “coal”, and watery notes, and base notes of ambroxan and patchouli. This is a very pleasant fragrance that leans very masculine and does not really evolve with wear. The aroma maintains a consistent scent and lasts on my skin a full work day. One day I came into work with 5 sprays and one of my coworkers about 5 feet away from me complained about someone’s cologne and it was choking her out. Oops. So yeah. Be careful with your sprays. Just cause you can’t smell it doesn’t mean others can’t either. Overall, an absolutely incredible scent. I would rotate it with another scent every other week to refresh the nasal receptors though.

Like many have said, this shares some similarities to Sauvage by Dior. BUT, this fragrance keeps it cleaner with toned down ambroxan and added lavender. See it as the more elegant Sauvage. The opening is quite captivating with that bergamot drawing you in, but the dry down develops a bit differently. As it settles, the scent is lavender dominant but picks up a slight metallic-ness alluded by its name. A bit unique take on a well know D.NA. and is done well. It's easy to reach for and safe for most occasions in the everyday schedule. Performance is pretty moderate, but could use a bit of a boost in the longevity.
