I bought Pravana because I had read about the incredible lasting power. After using this dye, I can understand the hype. My color is extremely rich and vivid. The issue I am having is that even a week later, the dye continues to bleed. Every time I shampoo, my shower gets stained blue. Every time i touch my hair, I turn blue. I have the hand of midas... except everything I touch turns blue instead of gold. Personally I am not a fan of the extra mess. I'd rather use Manic Panic which is long lasting on me without this level of mess.... Show more

My must have, my go to, and always in stock at my house in a variety of colors! The colors are amazing. Vivid and bold. The color last pretty long and is pretty true to color. Best results on blonde, light colored hair or bleached hair. Make sure if you are doing it yourself that you cover your skin with conditioner or Vaseline to keep from staining your skin. As far as teals go - get “green” it’s a true teal in my opinion. I’ve had almost every color so if you have questions please reach out. Color is amazing, doesn’t smell, long lasting, bright colors, great price for the quality of color and longevity. Pravana girl right here ❤️... Show more

I've been looking for a deep dark green like this for a long time and this did not dissapoint. To preface, I wash my hair every other day, I use cooler water on it, color saving shampoo and conditioner, and use heat tools also. I applied this onto prelightened hair, about a level 9, it applies really dark which I'm totally okay with. It is the perfect dark deep emereld green that can be really hard to find. It's conditioning on the hair and probably lasted me about a good month or so before it really started fading out.... Show more

Pigmentation. They however are the most expensive vivids in the hair industry and offer little solution on keeping them in longer. In this photo, I have Wild Orchard Pravana Chromesilk vivids applied. This color is apart of the red dye, smallest hair molecule, so washing even once, you’ll see a lot of color run through.... Purchased via amazon and reviewed there originally but felt it necessary to share here too: I let my silver ombré dyed hair grow/fade out and it got really brassy/wheat colored through the summer. I previously purchased but didn’t use the chromasilk vivids silver direct dye color after reading TERRIBLE reviews about the new formulation and issues with color bleed/fade etc. Finally tried it today and was beyond pleasantly surprised. Probably needed two tubes instead of just one as I have long and thick hair so will do that next time. Did not use a developer (as per directions inside of box) and just directly massaged the color into dry hair with gloves on. Left in for 30 mins and then rinsed under coldest temp water. It very quickly ran clear and there was no staining. Hard to tell in the pix but my hair is back to being a silver ombré up into the brassy/copper where my initial and nearly a year old bleach job meets my otherwise naturally jet black hair. It looks amazing in person and with high color dimensionality. It is SILVER! Not blue, not green! Hallelujah! The only negative so far is the smell while the color was setting—like bad men’s/teenager after shave. But mostly gone after washing out and especially after using some hair products (color and heat protectant serum+spray). Don’t know about how it will stay with future washes etc but will update if anything goes wrong/unexpected. Long review short: Try it for yourself!! (and please note this is for the silver color) Color selection is pretty big! And the versatility of the brand is great... Show more

So I'm going to start by saying that this hair dye is my go-to vivid dyes, they are amazing, all except for the pink. DON'T BUY THE PINK. Seriously, I have no idea why they are all amazing and that one color is such a dud but whatever. I've been doing vivids for over six years now and I have always used Pravana. I was absolutely bummed when they discontinued the Locked-In line because when you are doing multiple colors they can bleed together and the Locked-In prevented that and it was amazing. I really wish Pravana would bring it back because I know I'm not the only one who appreciated it. Unfortunately I did try the crystal colors and they were absolutely horrible, they left spots that were completely untouched and I had to completely redo my entire head. The ... I've used this brand for vivid colors (Specially violet) for over 6 years. I apply it on top of my brown hair and it gives a beautiful tone. I have a balayage so the rest looks amazingly bright and rich. What I love the most about this specific Violet is that it fades into a silver toned purple before it completely fades. Mind you that it does stain, and the less you dilute it the longer it will stay in your hair. It hydrates your hair at the same time and smells good. If you dilute it make sure to use their Clear, DO NOT MIX WITH OTHER BRANDS. You'll thank me later.... Show more

I've been dyeing my hair probably longer than you've been alive. Hehe. That said, I've tried literally everything, and I can tell you that I always go back to Pravana for bright, semi-permanent color. It lasts a loooong time, can stain almost everything, but again, it lasts a long time and the colors are true to the tube. Keep the color wheel handy because it all depends on how you mix the color with your existing hair color and if it's pre-lightened, which is recommended. I'm usually in the blue ranges when it comes to hair color but will occasionally get out of my comfort zone and do a green or a purple like this one. To get around some of the staining, I make a custom color conditioner with 2/3rds conditioner to 1/3 of Pravana. I like to use a lighter, color safe ... This will help the color last even longer even between the time I need to re-bleach my roots. I've got an esthetician license and I get mine that way, but I've seen it on Amazon. Read all the reviews though and use the Fakespot browser extension to check review legitimacy. I've read that they might be selling fake product, so buyer beware.... Show more

I personally did NOT like this at all. My hair was already pre lightened to a very very light blonde I would say a number 8/9 and this didn’t take at all. It could be that my hair was a little damaged from bleaching but literally did nothing for me. Hopefully other people have better results than I did. It was also on clearance at cosmo prof. It was always in stock when I went there too so definitely wasn’t selling a lot. That’s just my opinion tho. If anyone had different results I would love to know because never know maybe I’ll give it another try. Maybe there’s a trick to it lol.... Show more

I have used almost every vivid from Pravana and I have loved every single one. The best, in my opinion, is the violet. If you don't like to dye your hair often, the violet is perfect. It takes forever to fade, especially if you don't wash your hair often, it does bleed a bit in the beginning, but it does stop after a few washes and isn't super faded like some other colors. Even with all the bleach, this always made my hair feel amazing. It definitely put back some much needed moisture, as long as you don't use developer. The vivids have great deposit and are BRIGHT....
