This supersized gel is perfect for the long runs. The reusable cap means its nice and clean to use and you can put it away when you’ve had enough without it making a mess. Because of the the lid I find it much easier to micro dose on my runs, taking a little bit on every 2km. Last weekend I found I didn’t go through all it so I was able to put the cap back on and I’ve got a 30g gel ready to go for this afternoon’s interval session. I’ve had no GI issues with Precision’s products and besides a little sweetness the gel is easy to get down without water.

Added these to my rotation, and after an initial adjustment period, I actually found myself craving them. I try to eat 400cal/hr on my long runs and races, and these work perfectly. I like how I can work on one over the course of an hour while deep in a race/run, instead of having to slam a full gel-- it makes it easier to get down. I also like that I don't have to fumble in my vest for a Spring energy (~180 cal) every 30 minutes-- just holding the P90 over the course of the hour instead of rooting through the vest helps me cruise over technical terrain better when fatigued.

I used this gel at a later stage of my recent 100M run when anything sugary and sour is difficult to consume. It is not too sweet and not too sour so more neutral taste while still provides lot of calories. Grape taste is good too when you are sick of more popular lemon, orange, apple etc. flavors. It thicker than SIS, but it was ok on long uphil walks. I was able to consume the pouch in full.

This product is great because you can have 3 gels in a single pouch, with no sticky packets to deal with as the cap keeps it clean and easy to use. I was able to take this on a training run at half marathon pace and did not need to slow down or break pace, this felt a lot easier to **** out of the pouch than a normal gel packet. This will be my marathon gel of choice, for me, it is a better texture than Maurten and is easier to swallow. The flavour is fine, sweet with a slight yoghurt-like tang.Obviously the only slight negative is that you do not know exactly how much you are taking each time but that is also a benefit as you can take as much or as little as you feel at the time.
This stuff is great for a lot of reasons. The flavor is solid but quite neutral, making this one of the only gels I never get tired of. The ratio of glucose and fructose is so easy on the stomach that I can very easily get a whole pouch down in an hour of running with no GI distress. I also really like the lid system, it’s easy to use and allows me to eat smaller amounts more frequently. Everything Precision makes is fantastic
I love the Precision Hydration gel, tastes like jam, not the usual yucky, sweet, sticky ones. I especially found the 90g pouch very useful, clean and easy to use for runs 3 hours or more. Was perfect for my first 100 at surf coast, I think it is useful to be able to have a little slurp of gels every so often.
Great packaging. So many carbs in one pouch. The lid makes usage extremely easy, and mess free. No more trying to stuff open gel packets into snap lock bags (especially on trails where you have to keep all the rubbish with you).
Best tasting, easiest to digest gel on the market. Love the soft pouch and screw top. Can easily be carried during a run or on the bike. Used it successfully in 70.3 Ironman during run. Could just take a sip whenever I needed without digging in pockets or having to tear off tops. Great product
I have used these for my last Marathon - if only i had of known about them sooner! Obviously larger and harder to carry but the event i did you could leave your on drinks/fuel on course so they worked perfectly i just tapped to my bottles and i was able to use 1 per hour, but also fine if you have pockets in your shorts you can easily carry 2 or 3 Love that they are not sickly sweet, they literally have no taste and digest super well! I also found by fuelling super well my recovery was really good too!
I really wanted to like these, as the concept with the screw on cap is great. However, hard to guesstimate how much you're taking on board and the taste is just awful (for me personally). Just need a lot of water to get it down. Also no sodium/electrolytes in it, which means you may need salt sticks/or electrolyte drink and I just can't wash these down with electrolyte drink; just a horrendous taste. Quite a sticky texture which makes my mouth furry too...
