I love how soft this yarn is and I’m loving how quickly it works up…….. if it didn’t have SO many knots tied together in each skein, I would have rated it a 5 star. It’s a real pain to have to continually cut and join within one single skein, so many times. I’ve had to weave in so many ends throughout the entire project because of this. \nThey did sent me all of the same lot number - I ordered 20 skeins for one afghan that I am making. I have four more afghans to make and I’m not sure I’ll be using this again for how knotted it is…. Which is a shame because it’s so super soft. Hoping the afghan I’m making turns out fine.... Beautiful soft yarn
My new favorite yarn!! Arrived about a week sooner than expected. This works up beautifully and is extremely soft to touch, there's no pilling and I have a feeling that it's going to wash nicely. Out of 15 skeins, there was a little bit of separation in the weaving in one of ghe skeins, for about 2 yards of it. That's way less flaws than any other chunky yarn I've used. Just be warned the color is a little bit duskier than what is pictured, but it's still beautiful.... Show more

Excellent for large projects
I am using this yarn to make lap blankets (3’ x 5’) for family and friends. This chunky yarn knits up quickly and has very little pilling. The finished product is lovely and the yarn is very inexpensive, which is great for the amount of knitting I am using it for.The only negative is that the wool is not quite as soft as other, more expensive yarns; however, it is still quite nice. The colours are vibrant, with the exception of green.... Show more

Excellent quality in a DK weight
I'm using this yarn for a variety of projects where softness and fluidity are important: children's hats, baby hats, post-chemo hats, and scarves. This yarn works up exceptionally well when held double with another yarn of commensurate or lighter thickness. Stitch definition in knitting is both clear and attractive. Also great is the spectrum of colors from pastels to more saturated tones. Thanks for offering this product! The price point is superb for what you get.... Show more

Good Quality Basic Yarn
Needed this for the color. Was pleased to be able to buy it online and have it shipped. Even more pleased when it arrived in time for the project--amigurumi bear Christmas ornaments. The yarn is a good quality--it came off the skein easily and I have yet to find any imperfections in it. The color is true to the image. Unlike some worsted weights, it didn't separate easily when using a rather small hook. Can't attest to how it will wash if used in a garment or blanket but would recommend for amigurumi.... Show more

It's a good value yarn "for the price"
This yarn is great especially "for the price." This is a cheaper yarn, regardless of what ppl say. Under 4 bucks a skien is CHEAP! I've made an afghan for my daughters wedding and now I'm making one for me. I would advise against putting this yarn in the dryer. The yarn is great. I'm using lullaby multi and it's working great. I'm pairing it with a Red Heart White. The basix is a thinner ply for sure. You should do a swatch, if what you're making something where that matters and adjust your hook accordingly. Great yarn! Excellent price. I had no issues with shipping and packaging like others say they did.... Show more

Premier Retro Velvet Yarn
I used the Premier Retro Velvet Yarn along with two strands of worsted to make borders on a sweater I was knitting. It looked nice when I finished knitting it but I wanted to wash it to smooth out the seams. The label on the velvet said it was machine washable so I machine washed it. The velvet yarn pulled out in long (3-4 inches) loops that twisted into fringe like extensions. I tried to pull the yarn back into the original stitch position but it was impossible. I finally decided to pull the loops through other stitches until nothing was hanging down. I suppose the solution is to not machine wash items with the velvet yarn or just don't put them through the spin cycle. It also might work using the velvet yarn alone without the other strands. This is probably my favorite
This is probably my favorite yarn in #3 and #4 weight. The colors are pretty, except the #4 weight has a much larger selection. I prefer #3 weight for knitting sweaters. I’ve never had any issues with splitting when knitting stitches or crocheting for that matter. This is by far my favorite brand of yarn to work with. It’s very soft and inexpensive, especially when it’s on sale. I was excited when I noticed this yarn was on sale, so I ordered a bunch of it. Now I have enough to make a queen-sized afghan for my bed. I highly recommend this yarn for pretty much anything knitted or crocheted. And, the yardage in each skein is great for the price....
