Not the case at all - the MicroStation is completely silent. The additional features it brings are also a definite plus - a dedicated mute button is handy when the phone rings or when you need to go silent quickly. We use these to feed music audio directly from mobile devices, such as iPad Pro and iPhone Pro, into the primary PreSonus mixer for a church sound system. Eliminates the many cabling and interfacing headaches that arise when connecting mobile gear into modern digital mixers. The audio level control knob helps normalize music inputs coming from different sources, and protect against unwanted device sound before and after music. Possible to use several of these bluetooth interfaces with one sound system at the same time to provide far more flexibility than any built-in bluetooth capability that's found in a few digital mixers. Balanced inputs and outputs keeps the analog connection to mixer or monitoring system as pure as possible.

I'm using the Microstation BT with a pair of Bose S1 Pro and had (HAD) a Bose Sub 1 which induced a huge amount of static from its output to the S1 Pro via the Micro... When not connected to the Sub 1 but directly to the S1 Pro's almost dead quiet. Fast forward enter the PreSonus Temblor 10, a match made in heaven.The bluetooth connection is flawless. I connect either to my iPhone 12 Pro or my Note 9 via BT and a direct aux in from the Note 9 to the Microstation and the system sounds excellent both ways.

I wanted a big volume knob in my desk and this provides that. It's also a super easy way to bring just about any subwoofer into your system without any effort at all. Nevermind that it connects to your phone's Bluetooth too! What a great little device!
Works great, control knob is smooth. Great way to be able to easily play online content through your studio monitors. Should have picked it up years ago. Use it almost every day.
