PreSonus Studio 24C USB-C Audio Interface

The features that stand out for me was the Led Meters.I like to see how much input from music that I do. I like when I can see when I am about to distort my music.The only thing I disliked. I wish it came in different colors on the case. I like that it is portable. I have had this presonus for over 2 weeks.This Presonus has meet my expectations , and beyond. I have had and use a variety of 2in 2out audio interfaces. The 24c looks and runs really well. The direct volume mixer knobs are a great addition to sturdy device. I reckon it can handle many drunken recordings sessions. One thing that sucks ass, is the fanatical and repeated Authorise your Computer. Add to that, If you don't follow the Instillation instructions to the letter, you will give your self a headache. I error and only some things will function. Perfect for getting that song you just came up with in 5 min. Normally the song and all music related to are often forgotten when U wake, hung over, aching. Not Now ! I had used a Focusrite 8i6 for many, many years. It stopped working well based on no longer getting support from the company so reluctantly I had to buy a new one. Based on that lack of support I looked for something from a different brand. After a lot of comparing features and looking at my needs I landed on the PreSonus 24c.When I first took it out of the box I was impressed with how well made it was for how little it cost. Everything feels solid. Nothing about the unit feels like a corner was cut or a cheap part was used. I'm a Logic X user so the light version of Ableton was not a big deal but for a new user looking to do simple home recording, that is a great product to have included.The mic pre's sound great and I noticed no difference in quality from what I had in the Focusrite. While the primary use I have for it is recording spoken word and voiceover I have used it as both an instrument input and to record live guitar. In every one of those it preformed equal to or better than my old interface.The only downside I have found is that the knobs are placed very close together. I have large clumsy hands and it has made it a little more difficult to adjust things. It's not a big deal or something that comes up often.I've been using it for a few months now and have encountered zero issues. It far exceeded my expectations. If you are in need of a small interface for recording personal projects, podcasts or voice work I highly recommend this as a budget conscious option.

Garbage Unit

I bought this product hoping to correct a problem I had in Studio One with dropouts, popping, cracking, and latency. I figured, Presonus to Presonus. It has to work, right? Boy, was I wrong! I've owned a number of interfaces and this is by far the worst I've used. The problems began right out of the box. I registered the unit and setup was no problem until I chose my product from the drop down menu in Studio One. I found the product in the list and was immediately met with a message stating the unit failed to initialize. After working for about an hour, I finally discovered that changing USB ports worked. I was able to use the unit with no problem. It didn't fix my original issue, but the unit worked fine. Until the next time I tried to use it. Although the USB cable was plugged into the same port where it finally worked before, I again received the "failed to initialize" error message. I shut down Studio One, chose a different port, and went through the opening menus and drop-downs again. Nothing. Shut down again, choose a different port. After choosing multiple ports and troubleshooting to assure there was nothing wrong with my USB ports, I tried again and finally got it working. I shut down again and re-opened. Failed to initialize again. Went through the entire process and finally got it working. I tried using it a couple times after that, with the same process each time. Rinse. Repeat. And it wasn't as if changing from one port to another solved the issue immediately. I would try each USB port I have maybe 3 or 4 times, each time going through the process of shutting down Studio One, changing ports, re-opening the software, choosing it from the menu and it may or may not work.That's unacceptable. I don't want to begin every session having to resolve a troubleshooting issue beforehand. I'm also in the market for a larger interface, but you can bet it won't be Presonus. If your low-end stuff is garbage, it's hard to make the argument that moving up to a higher-end product will help.On another note, I wish to address a serious design flaw in the unit. Who thought it a great idea to put the headphone jack on the back of the unit? It's okay to put things like speaker cables, MIDI, power cables, etc, back there. They're set it and forget it, but there are times when you may want to use different types of headphones and the back of a unit can be a chore for many of us to get to. That's a serious design flaw. Sure, you can make the argument this is a lower-end device, but there are options out there that include a headphone jack on the front that is easily accessible.

Had bad luck with this product. Will not work with windows 1

Bought this product from Guitar Center, C24 will not work with Windows 11. Bought 2 year extended warranty, been 4 months and Guitar Center will not honor replacement warranty. They have worked on it twice . Still doesn't work. Going to try to get them to replace it one more time before seeking counsel on this matter.

As someone fast approaching 40, I'm naturally having an identity crisis which meant buying a bunch of recording equipment and setting up a small studio in my flat. The last time I dabbled in audio recording I was much younger and USB audio interfaces weren't a thing. After an afternoon of google searches and watching youtube videos, the Presonos Studio 24c kept being mentioned. I didn't want to break the bank but also didn't want a cheap one that I'd be replacing in a year's time because the quality wasn't quite there. Quality product

The quality and function of this product exceeded my expectations. I originally saw a review for it on Youtube channel InTheMix.I originally purchased this to record in FL Studio. This product came with the Artist edition of Studio One. I was really impressed with this DAW. I like the fact that it integrates with FL Studio. Thank you PreSonus! I now have a more complete sound studio. I highly recommend this product.

Solid audio interface

I bought a PreSonus Studio 24c audio interface from the PMT store in Leeds coming up to six months ago. I was originally looking to buy the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 but after speaking to a staff member decided to give the PreSonus a go instead.Overall, I've been very happy with the purchase. It's easy to use, has a great sound, and a nice-looking, solid build. I've been using it to record with FL Studio and have had no problems with recording guitars or vocals. You can also plug in any input type without needing to specify the type of input, again making it easy to use.I have only in the last couple of weeks experienced a minor issue with the interface. When I first connect the interface via USB-C it is recognised by my PC but then appears to disconnect. Unplugging and plugging back resolves this and it works fine for the remainder of the session of use. I have tried updating the hardware and the related software but this didn't resolve the issue. Although a minor nuisance the interface itself still works fine, and may even be a problem instead with my PC.

This small package packs some great audio!

I thought my PreSonus AudioBox USB 96 was pretty dang good, but this PreSonus 24c is even better! Much quieter, more audible gain, goes up to 196kHz, and it comes with the awesome Studio One 5.4 software- the full Artist version! This great little interface also has the midi sockets in the back, so when I get my keyboard out of storage I'll be able to plug it right in. My only (small) complaint is that the 48v Phantom Power goes to both mic inputs; that's not good for me, since in my setup I use one dynamic mic & one condenser mic. Since I don't want to take the chance of blowing my dynamic mic, I don't use it with this interface; luckily, the dynamic mic sounds great plugged straight into a USB port, and that way I still get to use it in Studio One, along with my ... MoreI thought my PreSonus AudioBox USB 96 was pretty dang good, but this PreSonus 24c is even better! Typical Sweetwate

Item received before promised date, boxed for protection of the unit, worked right out of the box as usual. I've recently installed a test Mevo video system in our church and needed a audio interface to connect the iPad to the system. I have quite a bit of PreSonus gear in both my personal studio and also a Studio Live24.4.2AI which Sweetwater suggested. All products frm different manufactures. Never a problem. I've been a Sweetwater client since they began. Never sorry.
