I'm glad I found this brand. I was originally looking at Bialetti Moka Pot brand which sells for more than double this one for an identical item.I knew I was buying a very small size and did so intentionally. I normally make my coffee with an Aero Press and drink it espresso style so I was looking for something personal sized to make an equivalent amount. However, the one cup is still a little smaller than I expected. It holds roughly a tablespoon of coffee grounds where as I usually make myself a double shot with roughly 4 tablespoons of grounds.I'm still glad I bought it as it was a cheap way to see if I like the style and decide if I need a larger size.

Strangely, the coffee maker does not work as well at 7000 feet elevation. Probably related to the lower boiling point at elevation. Works fine at 2000 feet here in Scottsdale. We own several of these in various sizes. The smaller ones do work at elevation. Will keep and deal with this little ideosyncracy.

I got this recently, and finally got a chance to try it out this morning. I love coffee, and when I order fancy coffee drinks, I typically get espresso based drinks or have shots of it added. So this seemed like a perfect option to make it at home without buying a large bulky machine. This espresso maker is nice and small and won’t take up any room in your cupboard for storing. The instructions included in the box were clear and easy to follow. Just unscrew, remove the filter, fill with water, fill filter with ground coffee (I used ground espresso roast), pop that back in place, screw on top, and place on top of the stove. Within minutes, I had a lovely cup of espresso. Easy to clean up too. In conclusion, I think this is a nice option for espresso at home without ... MoreI got this recently, and finally got a chance to try it out this morning. Use with caution because this is so tiny I did burn myself. I have fairly small hands but the handle still was a little tricky to grip first time around. Also b/c it's so small you have to keep an eye on it, it heats up fast! It's easy to use other wise and easy to clean with proper tools. No rusting so far and hope it doesn't at all.
The maker itself worked really good. The handle did not last though. It broke off after only 5th time using. My son continues to use it cautiously picking up with hot pad.My son’s girlfriend had a bigger model and same thing happened.I would recommend getting one with handle that is part of maker, not just attached with cheap bolts
I’ve had this pot for years. It makes espresso nicely (I have a gas stove). I even get a little “cream” on top. An important thing to note, before you buy, is that “3 cups” means 3 espresso-sized cups (~2 oz per cup), so the pot is going to yield about 6 ounces of espresso, TOTAL. Also, don’t put it in the dishwasher or use abrasives on it, that will ruin the finish. It’s normal for the inside of the bottom pot to get stained.
An espresso maker is something I never really wanted, but now that I have this one, I'm a little bit obsessed. I've been making lattes at home at least three times a week. This pot is really small - only big enough for a single serving. It's easy to clean and doesn't take very long to 'cook.' In fact, it takes less time to make a cup of espresso than it takes to warm up the other ingredients that go in a latte.I guess, if I had to find something negative about it, I'd say the handle is too small. You have to pick it up off of the stove with your fingertips and be very careful not to touch any of the metal. There should probably be an easier way to do it. That's not really a big deal to me, but just thought I'd mention it.
Super quick, easy to use and clean, and makes a great little cup of espresso! And it’s nice not having to buy little filters or all the extraneous tools associated with other methods and machines. Uncomplicated and delicious!
In the world of electronic coffeemakers, this stovetop espresso maker is a breath of fresh air. It is not only easy and simple to use, but it is also fun. I can make exactly one cup of Cuban coffee (or espresso) and get it done much more quickly than many electric coffeemakers. Clean up is not really that much more complicated and I think the coffee tastes better this way - which is the whole point!
This is a fun way to make espresso. It is extremely lightweight, made of stainless steel. We brought it camping and it worked great, water heats quickly because of how thin the metal is. I have also used it at home plenty, we don't have a traditional coffee pot because we like much stronger coffee. This does the trick.
