You truly can’t go wrong with any Prismacolor colored pencils. The quality is amazing, they have the best blend ability and they look so professional. They are my go to for all my projects. If you are on the fence about any prismacolor, just do it! I promise you that they are worth it!! This is coming from a graphic design student who has tried everything there is, these are hands down the BEST.

I had to buy these colored pencils for an art class, and at the price point I was expecting them to be super buttery, glide on the paper, and have a huge color payoff. Unfortunately this was not my experience. Sure, they were better then Crayola, but not by much. They are definitely less crumbly then the cheaper brands, but I was surprised at how hard I had to push them down to get a rich color. Maybe I just got the wrong type? But I wouldn’t purchase them again.

One thing I absolutely love about Prismacolor premier pencils is how much the colors pop on the page compared to other budget colored pencils I brought in the past. And in addition to the beautifully vibrant colors, they have a rich waxy texture to them. The colors can be applied in a smooth motion that doesn’t require much pressure on the wrist to get bold pigments. But perhaps one of Prismacolor’s biggest selling points is how well the colors blend. Blending is seamless and often doesn’t require external tools to get pro-level results. A downside to Prismacolor pencils is that they are more delicate than other high-end pencils on the market. They aren’t designed as sturdy, which means its easy to break the tips when sharpening. And if you’re careless with the pencils, you could event end up breaking their cores, leading to a shortened pencil lifespan. As with many premium art pencils, Prismacolor Premium Colored Pencils are available in different quantities, providing options to suit any budget. You can get sets of 12, 24, 48, 72 and 150 pencils. A set of 12 pencils will run you around $25 while a [hard to find] set of 150 is in the ball park of $130. My advice here is to decide which set to buy based on your level of interest in art. If adding color to your art is a serious step you want to take then perhaps investing in a set of 48 is best. Otherwise, if you just want to fill in some coloring books as a hobby I recommend the 12 or the 24 sets.

I use these pencils when I get down and dirty with my art. They are easy to shape and draw with. Pictures come to life and are so realistic. I press kind of hard in spots to later go back and scratch off places to create out of this world dimension and I'm not sure any other color pencil will do that. Only bad part is they are a little more costly! #LIFEHACK FOR THE GIRLS, WHEN YOU DONT HAVE THAT CERTAIN COLOR EYELINER YOU NEED FOR AN OUTFIT WET THE TIP SMUDGE ON HARD SURFACE DRAW AWAY LASTS ALL DAY !!

I actually have the older packaging and I have the set of 48. I used to take art lessons when I was younger and was introduced to these. Was kinda thinking it was crazy expensive. But onces I started using them I can understand why. And I have never looked back. These are like Louis Vuitton of colour pencil crayons lol. So smooth and creamy, blends so easily. Doesn't get all dry and crusty. Its not just the lead part, the wood itself is better grade and never cracks when you sharpen them. If you are an artist or have the extra money to spare its a must!

These pencils are amazing. They give highly brilliant color and flow smoothly across any paper. I have used these for years but I also tested them for another companyvery recentlyand found them to be the best art pencils available. I definitely recommend these for high quality drawings. #prismacolor #influenster #realart #premiumdrawing

I love these colored pencils! The colors are so vibrant! They blend so well! They make any project look great! I am not experienced in the many brands of colored pencils, but I could instantly tell the quality of these pencils! The quality is very noticeable right away. You Will notice a difference as soon as you use it. You will never be satisfied using cheap pencils again. They can be a little pricey, but once you use them, you will agree they are definitely worth it.

I don't know who loves this more- my granddaughter or me (she said she does though)! The colors are very vibrant and the bottles are big enough for many projects. Whether she uses a brush or (often) uses her fingers, there's never a worry because it cleans up quickly and completely. I put the water bottle behind the set in the picture just to show you the size of the bottles-- very generous. It goes on easy and without clumps so her projects are always just perfect (from an unbiased grandma's point of view of course☺). You won't be disappointed buying this because you'll get the same Crayola quality as you've known over all the years. We have already ordered more for upcoming Christmas projects and also bought several for church to use on shoebox gifts.

Very nice for detailed work and lines

I love the shape and size! It has a really nice look and feel. These are harder that the usual prismacolor so they don't break as easily when sharpened. I think these are lovely for detailed work though the pigment was a bit drier than other brands. It may be a fluke but I still like it and can find many uses for them in art.

The colors are very vibrant, they go on smoothly and I havent had any issues with smudging. These were my 2nd purchase of colored penciles from this brand. I enjoy coloring as a way to just ease my mind. If youre going to use them to color pictures, i recommend buying coloring books that are made out of good quality paper. you will get the best experience out of the colors if you do.
