I was initially impressed with the effectiveness of the powder but I believe it is no longer effective on its own. My cat suffers from IBD (irritable bowel disorder) as diagnosed by the vet. I wanted to avoid putting her on steroid tablets as they have side effects, however the powder is not enough on its own to control this disorder. Amazing product. Earlier this year my cat had to have strong antibiotics for a urinary tract infection. Unfortunately they made her very ill, caused her to stop eating and keep vomiting. I had to stop the tablets, and she slowly regained her appetite, but was still vomiting. I started using half a sachet of Forteflora morning and night, and from the very first dose vomiting stopped, her appetite increased, and frankly, at 17 years old, she has never looked better. She has always been such a fussy eater I didn't think she'd even look at her food the first time I sprinkled it on, but she seems to like it. Great product and very good price from Animed, with excellent delivery and service. This was my second purchase with Animed Direct.

If this product saves you tons of money in vet bills because of tummy issues- it is well worth it. Just sprinkle a little on top of food. It fixed my cats tummy issues and encourages cats to eat.It is not cheap but you can use it sparingly and is well worth it if your cat has any eating issues.

Absolutely helps improve overall health and immunity

Helped improve the health of my elderly rescue cat who carried cat-flu for her final year of life, reduced her sniffles significantly.Now my other 9 year old cat loves it, so we have carried on with this to keep him in tip top shape as there is a risk despite vaccinations, that she passed on her cat-flu virus to him. He has 3 lighter meals a day and we sprinkle a little of this on, usually less than a sachet a day. They seem to get a taste for this stuff!Overall general health booster for cats that can really help them stay healthier. Was recommended by my vet.

Amazing stuff to entice a picky cat

I bought this not for its probiotic qualities, but to take the stress out of feeding my cat. One sachet lasts me 3 or even 4 days so it's very economical. I sprinkle a tiny bit onto my cat's food twice a day. (I make his food myself, right now a variety of very lightly cooked meat - he was on raw most of his life but developed a digestive problem due to over-grooming after a flea invasion, and part of his recovery included changing him to a lightly cooked diet).He more or less gobbles up his food now, whereas before he'd almost need to be hand fed sometimes. I have started using this product for my elderly cat who has colitis. Within two days his stools were going back to normal and within a week he was looking and feeling better in himself, his whole demeanour has changed. He loves the taste and starts purring his head off when I get the packet out, and he is quite a fussy cat so I am well pleased! He is not being sick as often either, but he does still bring up his hairballs a couple o times a week but he is long haired so we've always had hairball problems. I am also feeding another brand as fortiflora unfortunately only has one strain of probiotic in it. That is the only down side, I wish it had more strains in it, this seems weird to me as all other brands have at least three. Holy grail

Beginning of April my 18 year old cat had slight blood in her diarrhea. After speaking to the vet they prescribed this product for her (course of 7 days) thank God my cat is ok now. After giving her a sachet daily her eating habits have got a lot better. She now begs for her breakfast with Fortiflora. Overall this product is amazing!The cost is definitely reasonable. Oscar my rag doll cat now eats Foriflora

I have a rag doll puss cat, who is a really fussy eater, but also a very small eater therefore does not gain weight easily. He also tends to vomit for no reason, he also had problems with constipation. Having had to take him to the vets on numerous occasions, which created more stress for him, they could never find anything wrong with him. Then a very close friend of mine suggesting that I try the fortiflora and administer it onto his good twice a day. Suffice to say, he is eating more - at least two sachets a day (where once upon a time it was only 1 sachet a day), his vomiting has ceased (unless he eats some grass), he is putting on weight, and also appears to be very contented.
