I've had the pro mask for several months now and I can say it's better than your standard flat sleep mask but it's not $70 better. First off the eye cups have a huge lip of stitching that goes around them so you I can't get them close enough to be truly a good fit.The way that the foam is in the cups they still leak light from the bottom into the mask. I'd the foam in them was memory foam that molded to your face then I could see them being great and might justify the higher cost, but they aren't. As I previously stated, better than a standard flat sleep mask but not $70 dollars better, perhaps I would be okay with $50 but for $70 if want premium materials and some better fit engineering. There are actually masks on Amazon that use real memory foam, have eye cups and are a lot cheaper than the manta pro, so I'd say maybe try those before you spend the 70 bucks.

My daughter purchased the original mask for me when I complained about my terrible sleep after surgery for breast cancer. She's knows about them from a friend who also has sleep issues. As an exclusive side sleeper I purchased the PRO sleep mask myself and have been wearing them (use the original for naps and travel) nightly for more than a month. They really do block light and are very comfortable to wear, the PRO definitely working better for side sleeping though the orignal works too. I'm able to sleep even if my husband is watching TV or reading with a light on in bed. I'm able to leave a light on if I go to bed earlier than him. When traveling I don't have to worry about extraneous lights I can't control. I’m giving the PRO mask a middle of the road rating because although the cups are removable and technically replaceable, out for over a year and there are no cup available to purchase. I believe Manta suggests you replace the cups every 6 months or so, which is fine for my other masks (because they’re sold separately)…. But the foam on one side of my PRO mask got hard and scratches my face. Customer Supports answer was “buy a new one”. Now I bought a weighted mask, both hot and cold cups, and the PRO mask over a year ago and you can do the math. The PRO mask has only been used recently (a few months at most) as my significant other discovered my weighted mask and took it for her own. The hard spot that developed on the edge of the foam scratched me and would wake me up.Now, I would totally purchase new cups for this mask, even though I’ve only been using it for a few months now, because I did buy it over a year ago and I understand how things work… but to not have these cups available and to expect a customer to just buy another $80 mask is beyond ridiculous, even if the cups were “past their expected life” at 6 months… the response just gets me heated and although I love Manta’s products, this lack of replacement cups just infuriates me. Again, I was absolutely willing to pay for new cups, just refuse to pay for a whole new mask and expect different results.
