I wanted something that was towards the upper end of the rowing spectrum,and I can confirm this is it. I was impressed by how smooth and silent it is, which is very important with a new born.

This is a great machine - everything works well. I use it every morning for 20 mins before work. I don't need all the extra bells and whistles that it comes with but the main draw for me is that it has magnetic resistance - that's critical as I get up at 4am and I cant make a lot of noise while my wife and kids are still sleeping. It folds up surprisingly compact as well. I've used Concept II rowers in the past and I actually like this machine better. Overall I couldn't be happier.

This rower does give a nice workout and has pleanty of resistance levels to work through but you cannot set the resistance manually you need to use the electronic console so no good in a power cut. For this price point I would have expected a better power supply, this one comes with both a European and UK plug top, that attaches to the mains adapter, the trouble is when you unplug the device the plug top comes off and stays in the socket! The other problem is that the console seems to be too heavy and no matter how tight I tighten the hoding screw it slowly slips down as you exercise and I do not even have a tablet attached!
