Was on sale/clearance for $150. At that price its a bargain. You won't be benching over 400# with this, but almost nobody can, and those that might would likely be sponsered and have $500+ benches. This bench is for folks who want a middle ground between mass-market junk and high-end fitness gear (Rogue, PRX, etc.) for 98%+ of weightlifters.Cons: Its heavy. It doesn't go 90º upright, maybe 80º. It has a gap when flat. (You'll pay a lot more for zero gap). Wheels are cheap (but work). Welds are poor looking. Metal gauge is thinner (but plenty functional).Pros: Solid. At $150, a steal. At $200-$300, fairly priced. This will work for 98%+ of folks lifting weights. Yes, $400- $700 benches will have far better build, but this Proform Carbon is good value for the ... MoreWas on sale/clearance for $150. At that price its a bargain. This bench is poorly designed. The seat leans to one side, as the pull-pin mechanism just barely touches the position hole. The position hole ends up resting on the rounded end of the pull-pin which causes it to lean. I tried to reinstall/adjust it multiple times, but it would always end up in the same position, causing the lean. The bench seat/backing material is really thin and feels flimsy, I trust the frame to handle the weight limit, but not the bench attached to it. The material wrapping the bench looks nice, but feels really soft and I do not think would keeps its shape after a few uses. I only used it once, and felt the bench was not stable enough for heavy usage, with heavy weights. I would highly discourage anyone from buying this overpriced bench. I'm impressed at how sturdy this bench is. I've used other benches before and this one stays put. The mechanism under the bench that's used to adjust the back is unique and easy to use. The bench itself is wider than most, which I'm happy with it. It's more comfortable and I'm not feeling like I'll fall off if I turn to the side. This is one of the better weight benches I've used and I highly recommend it. I was given this product free and everything said here is of my honest opinion.

If you’re looking for an all-around easy to use and family friendly adjustable bench, this is a great option. For starters, it was extremely quick to put together. In about 25 minutes, I had it unboxed and assembled. Piece of cake. Further, it is super easy to adjust the seat and backrest. You just pull out the pin, move the seat or backrest to the desired position and the pin snaps back in to secure the desired position. The other great thing about the unit is that it is easy to move around. It has a handle on one end and built-in wheels on the other and take minimal effort to move from one location to another. My sons (10 and 9) can move it around without issue. Overall, I’m very pleased with the unit. I was given the unit at a reduced price for my honest feedback.
Fantastic bench for BeginnersI was provided this bench free of charge in exchange for my honest review.I am a beginning level workout/weightlifter. I've never been comfortable in a public gym setting and have always wanted a home gym type setup instead. This is a fantastic starting place for someone like me. The bench arrived and is excellent quality and easily paired with the other equipment that I am using it with. It came well packaged and the setup was very simple. The variety of of adjustments has been excellent in providing options for workouts and the ability to have room for growth. I have been very pleased with this bench and would recommend it highly.
Originally was happy with the purchase. I’ve had the item for less than a year. Today while incline bench pressing the bench collapsed and went from incline all the way to decline in the middle of my set. Thankfully I wasn’t maxing out. This could have been much worse. Upon inspection I found no areas of neglect on my part. I no longer feel safe using this product.
I have not worked out for about a decade. I recently purchased a new home that had room for me to make a home gym. I was at Lowes and saw this bench. It was on sale for $150.00, which seemed like a great price. I had priced other benches and found one I really liked for $600.00 from a different company, but wasn't looking to spend that much. I bought the ProForm bench, got it home and put it together. This bench is top notch. Great quality all the way around. It was very easy to put together, and was packaged up very well. The instructions were very easy to follow. This bench could easily compete with "gym quality" benches. Now with the money I saved I can buy a lot more equipment. Way to go ProForm and Lowes.
Seeing the 2 negative reviews on this workout bench compels me to write a review, since I consider this to be 5 stars. The bench is very solid, quite heavy, and it doesn't creak / lean at all when in use. Installation wasn't the easiest, and having 2 people was a must. The nuts they provide are self-locking, so require quite a bit more torque than usual, but I don't question they're going to hold during any abuse I put this through. The final installation step is a bit odd where you are required to torque the bolt everything rotates on - too loose and everything will wobble, too tight and everything is stiff. If you mess up that step, it will easily be a 1 star bench. Read the instructions and follow that step! My advice is torque it until it's slightly too stiff ... MoreSeeing the 2 negative reviews on this workout bench compels me to write a review, since I consider this to be 5 stars. My advice is torque it until it's slightly too stiff and then ease up (that's what I did and I'm happy). The foam / cushion on top is stiff yet comfortable to use, with just the right amount of give. Adjustments are easily done with oversized knobs that you'll see in any gym setting, nothing cheap about them.Overall it's a nice addition to my home gym and I expect to get a ton of use out of it.Photos highlight some of the positions. Placement was moved for better photo taking, which the wheels make super easy to do.
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own. Two people assembling this unit is a must as well as following the instructions. But it really doesn't take too much time. Once assembled, it is quite easy to adjust the seat and backrest into the desired positions. It's also quite easy to move around with the grab handle and wheels. We're a little low on space, so I can pull it out and put it back away with ease. The cushion is firm, comfortable, and easy to clean. We've ditched the gym memberships and started adding to our own home gym. This bench is the perfect addition
I bought this at Lowe's. Compared to others in this price range it is built better. However, the seat and back cushion are very stiff, and the padding does not help. It's like laying on concrete. I bought some memory foam to soften the seat and back this seems to help. The height is slightly short from floor to top of the seat. My previous bench was 18.5" which was perfect. These measures 17". Be careful when adjusting the long part of the bench. They knob button needs to securely fit into the hole and should be slightly longer. I made the mistake of not checking to see if it was secure and just as I was about to do a bench press it fell down and my head slammed hard on the bench surface. There is a slight wobble, and it could come out while you have weights ... MoreI bought this at Lowe's. Compared to others in this price range it is built better. There is a slight wobble, and it could come out while you have weights suspended and cause serious injury. The pin that goes thru the adjustment leg is too short and needs to be slightly longer. I plan to use it a few more times and it this seems to be a problem will return it to Lowe's. My previous bench did not have much adjustment but lasted almost 10 years until the padding wore out. Using on a rubber mat it is not easy to move around.
