This machine is great for a full body workout. At first I thought I was just working out my arms but then I realized it's mostly your legs and that your arms follow the motion. I had only used a rower twice at a gym before and I'm impressed at how much nicer this one is than the one I used at the gym. It's really easy to use and the screen makes for a better experience. The beginner rowing series are great through Ifit (which a full year is included when you buy the machine). There are several workouts that go through detailed instructions on getting proper form. I had to do them several times because I felt I wasn't getting good form. Once I understood the motion then it was game on. So I purchased my R10 Rower from the Pro-form website. It was delivered fast and packed great. Super easy to put together was up and running in about 45 mins. That includes putting it together, activating my account and getting the software updates. I purchased this rower because you get a full body workout that's low impact on joints and you back. So I contacted them again and they sent me out a new console. So their customer service is on point. If they pushed out an update to have a shutdown option and add live rowing classes this would be hands down the best rower on the market.

I'm 5'3", and my husband and son are over 6 feet and 250 pounds, yet we each fit comfortably. Proform is by far the worst company I have ever bought. Wether it is their rower, treadmill, or bike. They are the worst. Their customer service suprisingly is worst than their products. This rower requires an update, no matter how many time you download it it fails. Exchanged for another one which had the same problem. If you call their custome service be prepaired to hold for 3-4 hours! Best buy should stop selling this horrible companies products. I had a treadmill from them which broke in a year and they wanted me to buy another one. Truly horrible! Avoid at all costs. There is multiple class action suits against this crappy company!

I had this machine shipped to me and getting it out of the box was easiest by cutting open the sides and then down each corner of the box so that it lays open flat. The instructions give you the option of downloading an app to help you assemble the machine. I used the app and it really helped keep track of which step I was on and made the instructions so much clearer. The instructions on the app and in the manual show a large hole while our machine had a rubber gasket piece that made it so the connection clips could not fit (even one at a time as instructed). We solved this issue by using a flat head screw driver to pop the gasket piece out, then pushed the clips into the mounting bracket and then replaced the rubber gasket without any further issues. Once the machine was assembled, we plugged it in and tried it out. It does take a little while to update the console and get everything downloaded and ready to go. I used the Ifit trial membership that came with the console. You can chose workouts with beautiful scenery and still get a great workout. Rowing is a great whole-body workout, my shoulders, arms, back, and legs are tired and the cardio aspect was very satisfying. I felt like I wasn’t working out so hard I was going to pass out from breathing but I was able to finish and feel like I had worked hard. The small hang ups I have with this machine is that it takes about two full minutes for the console to turn on and be ready to go, also if you have this machine on carpet, the wheels to move it around don’t work great and I felt like I was just shoving it across the floor at times. Overall, the machine is very stable, quiet, and effective. It folds up to store and that is great because it is a fairly large machine when set up for use. I really enjoy this machine and look forward to more workouts on the machine. I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
