Do not buy this rubbish
I do not believe that this is real marine ply. The glue is weak and it delaminates easily. Firstly it delaminated the top veneer whilst cutting. Then, even more shocking, it delaminated when I put a primer coat on it. It couldn't even handle the moisture in the paint. This was a new piece of timber.Totally wasted my time.... Show more

Good looking junk
This might have an AA finish but it is certainly not marine grade strength. Deceptive marketing in my opinion, this would not conform to marine grade strength test. Bunnings have cheated by having wafer thin veneers on the skins to make it look nice and then filled the centre layers with junk wood. Ok for an art project but don't build anything serious out of it.... Show more

Marine Ply best as Paint Grade
The plywood sheet appeared to be flat and free from defects but the face veneers were subject to flaking and splitting at the edges of where the sheet was being cut or drilled. It doesn’t say what hardwood veneer is used on the face however if applying a clear coating to the damaged areas where the veneer has flaked is obvious against the adhesive colour and the next layer of veneer below the face.... Not Happy
I think NON AA grade, NON marine ply was substituted. I didn't realise of the possible non marine version until today when I received the request to do a survey and I looked at the 4mm marine ply and it was labelled 'Marine Ply', the 6mm sheet I received was not. This ply has been used to make a new lid for my pool pump housing and so being in the weather it had to be made from marine ply.The sheet had flaws either side which were patched up with a filler/bog. As my required size to be cut from the 2400x1220 sheet could be cut out of this sheet and not include the flaws I was not so concerned about the finish.... Show more

Not the quality I expected for the price.
I bought four sheets a few weeks ago, Just got around to using it. I cut the first sheet in half and used half for a project. By the next day, the other half had started warping. One of the reasons that someone uses plywood is because of its resistance to warping. Not sure what happened here, laminated sheets not rotated, I don't know? No exposure to water just normal humidity in the air. All were stored outside on covered patio.Note: in your "terms and conditions," I do not know what "All 'moral rights' that you may have in such content have been voluntarily waived by you" means, but I DO NOT waive any "moral rights" that I have to anything. Why would your lawyers want people to?... Show more

Rubbish quality not 3ply anymore
I bought 2 sheets 3 months ago and they were great. Went back for a 4rd sheet and ALL stock of product was warped, twisted and bowed. Managed to find one sheet out of 40 odd that was fair but bowed. Noticed the latest stock is mow 2 ply NOT 3 and is packing crate quality with the same label... Show more

Splinters galore
I brought this to try it as it seemed like good value. Does not seem to matter what you cut it with it splinters badly and never run your hand on the edge unless you enjoy removing splinters. Due to being a hard wood it is very dense and so much heavier than standard type plywood. As a result it is very hard to drill and countersink, will not purchase again.... Show more

Very Poor Product
When correctly sealed "AA" grade marine ply is meant to be capable of withstanding the external elements for many years without the risk of grain or pocket delamination. The Project Panel range of marine ply is however not a quality external grade plywood and will delaminate when wet. It is without doubt the worst marine plywood I have ever used and will now require complete replacement costing us many thousands of dollars. Do NOT use this product for any external application. As a QBCC licensed builder / building inspector with over 35 years of construction experience, I would rate this product as very poor.... Show more

Yeah pretty good aye
I've been making nestboxes out of this exact board for over a year and I haven't run into issues. I use a router on it, I hold it together with external-grade screws and no glue, I cover it in flaxseed oil and leave it totally exposed on the side of a big tree for ages and the first boxes I ever made still look brand new. Not sure if my experience is representative but this stuff rocks for my purposes. Having said that, it'd almost be cheaper to use gold plated caviar given how much this stuff costs.... Show more
