Looks like a good design. I like the size and it seems rugged but it couldnt jump start a car when needed which was its primary purpose. VE commodore with dead flat battery. Tried connecting on the battery (in the boot) and on the jump start points in the engine bay. Jump starter gave a little bit of power to flash interior lights etc but wasnt even close to starting the car. Charged the jump starter overnight to confirm it had a full battery and tried again but again useless. Charged the car battery with a standard battery charger overnight and it started and ran fine so no issue with the car and no reason that this jump starter shouldnt have worked. Specs say up to 6L petrol but it couldnt start a 3.6L engine. I took it back to repco - they couldnt test if this ... MoreLooks like a good design. I took it back to repco - they couldnt test if this particular unit was faulty or if they just dont have enough power and so I exchanged it for the slightly larger 1200A version. Im half expecting this would work for a slightly flat battery but maybe not a dead flat battery. But was disappointed with this model and wouldnt recommend it.

Doesn't work properly. I tried an LS1 Commodore and a Toyota MR2 and it just didn't start either. It seems to work if the battery is only slightly flat, just didn't work if they are seriously flat

This is a safety provision for my boat. It charges quickly and is a great alternative to having a back up battery. It holds its charge well and I thoroughly recommend this for every boat owner.

Excellent, work well. Nice and compact. I leave it in the glove box of my car. The car doesn't get driven very often so it's handy to always have it on hand because every time I want to drive the car it usually has a flat battery. Connect this to give it that kick and it fires right up.
This is fantastic product! Not driving as much as normal my battery went flat. Glad I'm now self sufficient and not reliant on others to assist. some people are hesitate to jump start if they have a fancy car.
During the regional lockdown my 350z was neglected for 9 weeks. Very flat battery. I decided to purchase a jump starter to see if i had killed the car battery, before simply replacing it. The jump starter would also have to serve our remaining four cars, ranging from a 4litre petrol 4x4 to a 3litre v6, a 1.5litre straight 4 and a 1litre 3cylinder (as well as the 3.5litre v6 350z). As I didn't intend to service deisels this unit seemed a good balance on price and features. I had to go click and collect as circumstances required, and was pleasantly surprised when the shop insisted on supplying me with the IS920 version instead. (The computer made a mistake on availability and shelf stock, so this one was supplied instead.) (The computer made a mistake on availability and shelf stock, so this one was supplied instead.) As it turns out, I didn't know this was the one I needed, but it turns out it has features that make it just a bit more convinient than the IS910. Both can start the same rated vehicles, but the 920 has a different lithium chemistry that lets it recharge after starting the car, from the car's alternator, in about 40 seconds! The unit performed as was hoped, and the additional features make it amazingly useful, and quick to service with a charge, which it holds for months before even registering a drop. Thanks REPCO, excellent consideration for customer satisfaction.
Light-weight. Easy to use. Easy to recharge. Fits in the glove/box even.
I have only tried to use this once, attempted to jump start a battery from a Mazda 3, so not even a heavy duty battery, like in my 4WD which I was assured it would start. The unit failed to even crank the battery from the Small mazda
I'm not the most knowledgeable lady on the planet when it comes to the subject of anything mechanical but OMG!- This battery starter was so easy to operate!!Its just a tiny compact little thing and I'm so glad I purchased it!
I used this in a boat and it worked well, no problems. However, recently pulled it out to use it and didn't work, moisture had got into it. It beeped and carried on but would not power up. Ok if you only use it in dry conditions
