I’ve been ordering these brownies for years and years and honestly they’re a part of my daily diet. My 10am snack time at work is one of these and a cup of tea and I love it because they’re a comforting chocolate stodge but the protein hit doesn’t make them a sugar bomb, it keeps me satiated until lunch. Sometimes on the weekends at home, I’ll have one as my dessert after lunch, especially if my main course is lacking in protein. The only negative I’ll say is that the price has definitely been creeping up and I won’t bulk buy unless there’s a promotion on. Goes Well With: A cuppa!

I've actually tried the protein brownies from Myprotein myself, and I have to say, they're amazing! I was blown away by how decadent and chocolatey they were, while still being packed with protein to help me feel fuller longer. They're a great way to indulge in a sweet treat without feeling guilty, and I love that they're made with high-quality ingredients. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to stay healthy but still enjoy their sweets. Goes Well With: I also love how versatile they are - they're great on their own, but they're also perfect for adding to smoothie bowls, topping with nut butter, or even crumbling over ice cream. Overall, I think they're a fantastic dessert option for anyone who wants to stay healthy but still enjoy their sweets.

Disappointing Pricing Overshadows Fantastic Taste

I had previously purchased these brownies, and they were incredibly delicious. I had no complaints about their taste, and they provided excellent value for money. However, when I recently went to buy my next month's supply, I discovered that they had reduced the quantity from 12 units to only 6 units, while keeping the price the same. This change means that if I wanted to purchase a month's supply, it would now cost twice as much. Unfortunately, I had to switch to another product because I couldn't justify the increased price, which is disappointing considering how much I enjoyed their taste. Goes Well With: Tea or Coffee.

Double dough - chunky chocolate
22 February 2023

Bought a sample to try as I didn't want to commit to a whole box. I have a massive sweet tooth and wanted to find something to satisfy it, and this bar certainly does the job! I was skeptical at first having had the protein brownies before and found them to be a bit dry, so thought these would be the same.. however I was pleasantly surprised. The texture is actually really goey and soft, almost like a home baked brownie! The chocolate one is a bit too chocolatey for me, but the cookies and cream flavour is delightful and has the same gooeyness. I would definitely buy these again and would recommend them to anyone who has a real sweet tooth like me. Goes Well With: Good enough as is

High on protein and a great chocolate fix
29 August 2023

These brownies are very tasty. Great if you like chocolate - they're super chocolatey. I like the chunky chocolate chips found through the brownie. Impressive protein content. Not the lowest in sugar but really not too bad. A good sweet treat but not sickly. The brownies are a good size - they fill you up but you don't feel bloated afterwards. They are not gooey which I personally don't mind but I know some people expect that from a brownie and may be disappointed. The brownies can be a bit crumbly so it is good to eat them over a plate or a napkin - not wonderful if you're eating on the go but it's doable and they do not fall into absolute bits - just a few stray crumbs. Goes Well With: Tastes good with a chocolate protein shake or vanilla protein shake.

Temper your expectations
27 November 2023

The texture isn't great, but they're protein brownies. There's no magic sauce in here to remove the very real 'protein' element of a protein brownie. They are dense, but not to the point where they're inedible like many other brands. I'm not sure if 'dry' is the right word to describe them as they do feel a bit moist to the touch and they're not crumbly, but I would definitely recommend drinking with water or a protein shake to help wash the brownie down after its chewed. The flavour is legitimately nice and makes up for the less than ideal texture. There's enough chunks in each brownie to get some chunks in every bite. The chunks go a long way to complimenting the flavour and help break up the monotony of chewing the dense brownie. I will buy them again as they're a nice and filling snack under 300kcal.

Texture of chewy cardboard and the taste of dog food
17 July 2023

Myprotein are usually pretty good when it comes to protein bars but this is dreadful. The taste is pretty bad and the texture is what I imagine damp stodgy cardboard must be like to chew. Also looking at the ingredients it has rapeseed oil in, which I usually steer clear of for health purposes. That’s my fault though for not checking the label before purchasing. There’s so many other products Myprotein do which are good I wouldn’t waste your time with this. Goes Well With: The bin

The old classic.

Protein snacks come in all ranges, varieties, flavours and textures but I always find myself coming back to the chocolate brownie. Whenever I place an order, there is always at least a box of these in there (usually several). Sometimes you hit the jackpot and the brownie has an ever so slight softness to it that resembles brownies in the traditional sense but a lot of the time they're a mix-texture between cake and biscuit, some limbo of mixture that is its own thing. Flavour is great, it's chocolate but not overpowering, artificial or too sweet. Probably why I keep coming back to them, they're the goldilocks of protein snacks. Everything is just right. 25g of protein in 287cals, I'm never going to argue with that. White Chocolate Brownie
24 January 2022

Bought the white chocolate sample. Tastes more like a cookie than a brownie, it’s like a faker, less nice, softer version of shortbread. Has like a fake sweet taste, which became gross after a couple of bites. Doesn’t taste like white chocolate at all in my opinion. If you have a sweet tooth and you’re picky it might be a way to change up where you get your protein but overall, I’d say it’s not worth it. There are way better options for less calories that also taste way better. Goes Well With: The farthest possible location from me. It might be digestible if popped in the microwave for a couple secs and some ice-cream. Realistically, doubt anyone will go through that trouble. Just get a protein bar.

You better not...
1 February 2023

I have been buying these brownies for years now, by far my favourite MyProtein product. They always taste so nice and have a lovely crumbly texture like a brownie should. However my recent order of them... not quite the same... I will be gobsmacked if they have changed the recipe but I am worried MyProtein have done that. I am praying I just had a faulty batch. My recent order of these brownies tasted nowhere near as nice. The crumbly brownie-like texture had gone and these were a lot more stodgy and felt and tasted a lot more artificial... nowhere near as good as they used to be. Goes Well With: Anger and disappointment
