Only my Xbox controller’s drift. I bought three Xbox controller’s all different kinds all drifted with three months and my original PS4 controllers still work fine till this day! These PS5 controllers are one of the best qualities. Love them! I bought 4 originally that get used daily. Almost.a year now and they’re like brand new. Love them! They get heavy use between multiple gamers and they work fine. Will be buying every color..

Better by these while on sale. I am still debating whether I should. I have 6 controllers and ALL 6 have stick issues. Evidence Sony is covering this up. I hope they come out with a totally re-done controller but not looking good. If you don't play shooters and treat very fragile maybe you won't have this problem. But as a gamer I've had at least 2 i know break within a week!

DualSense drift with a fairly new Sony PS5 controller. Not even a year old and my left joystick is registering movement on screen despite the me not touching the controller. So, for example, your character might move in Fortnite, even though you're not actually touching the DualSense. I don’t play that often and the control has little hours of use time. This is sad for a control that is worth $69.99

For all those complaining about stick drift that is on you. Clean hands and actually using the case will prevent the controller from stick drift. Haven’t had any issues with any of my 6 controllers and this one is no different. Dust and food particles are usually the main cause. Nothing a can of compressed air can’t fix.
Bought the blue one as it was the only color worth picking up and in stock. Got it on sale for 25 dollars cheaper and it's decent. I play Xbox mostly so I can't be objective here as I havent had the same amount of hours on it as I have xbox controllers. But it's better then any Playstation controller I've used in the past. The left thumb stick placement is my biggest issue next to the haptic feedback which doesn't feel like much to me and could be a bit stronger. Other then that solid controller for the price I payed, but I wouldn't pay full for it.
Controller technology is very cool - great for immersion and I also like the aesthetics. However if you are having an intense gaming session and your hands get sweaty, the muck builds up and gets smeared all over the controller, such as in the crevices - I have to wipe it down fairly often. A major flaw is the L2/R2 triggers have a very cheap spring inside and don't last long. My R2 has no resistance and I had to order new springs to replace the broken one. It's relatively easy to open and replace, but still a hassle. If you look online, this is a very widespread issue. Hopefully Sony can address this and at least put better quality into these.

The Controller Might Be A Little Big For Some, But You Get Used To It After A Couple Of Weeks. The More PS5 Controller You Plan To Get, The More I'd Recommend Getting The Wireless Charging Station. It's A Little Costly But It Will Save You A Lot Of Trouble. But The PS5 Comes With A Wired Charger For The Controller So If You Don't Want To So If You Don't Want To Spend Much More Money, You Should Be In The Clear. We played through Borderlands 3 once when we first got the system, and the controller has hardly been used at all. We recently decided to play through BL3 again and now there’s a drift. We have an ancient PS4 and both controllers have no issues. I work for my money and value my time to earn my money, but it appears to me that Sony does not want to take responsibility for this. Despite being a Sony product for the PS5, the dual sense controllers are of poor construction. I have 2 that I purchased. Within 30 days, my new controller drift and often resets the touchpad settings making it frustrating to reconfigure every time I use it. My older DS5 controller joystick sensitivity issues (almost like a blind spot.) The DS5 controller that came with my PS5 lasted the longest (over 1 year, but now has issues with the Left trigger button, L2.) I have had to return and exchange my controllers multiple times. It's just not worth the short shelf life and extra hassle. plus, they're too expensive.
Use of the DualSense over the course of a few months caused me to develop a repetitive stress injury. I have been playing games on other consoles for years but with this particular controller I had terrible luck. I attribute this to a few factors, mainly the controller is much chunkier than a typical xbox/switch/earlier PS controllers, the shoulder buttons are much stiffer, and it's quite a bit heavier than other gamepads. I am now using a different brand of controller for PS4-compatible games on PS5, and have disused the DualSense altogether until some alternative is available. Unfortunately, this is the only controller compatible with PS5-native games on PS5.
