Comfortable and sturdy harness for Cavalier King Charles

2 different body type Cavalier King Charles. Purchased 2 harnesses same size (L). One had a smaller neck and head size by about 1” BUT it worked out ok as 1 pup has smaller neck length.My girls are 23.5 lbs. These are soft and sturdy and I use them when we travel. The pups dont seem to mind them like several others I have tried. They are very well made and the loop to hook your leash on is sown on an extra strength band. Be sure to measure your pups as my girls areLarger in the stomach area.Chewy is excellent at returns if doesnt fit correctly. I love them.

Fits perfect. Soft & Secure

Puppia dog harness fit perfectly. I recently picked up a lost dog who was very skittish and, being a small dog, I was worried about him injuring his trachea or getting lost again. The puppia dog harness is soft enough for him to wear all the time, but secure enough that I don't have to worry about him slipping out and escaping. There is no pressure on his trachea. I strongly recommend this harness and will probably purchase another.

Great for odd shaped dogs, but..

So I originally bought this harness after trying quite a few different types for my now 9 month old Chihuahua puppy, Kerwin. As any Chihuahua owner can tell you, Chis can come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Kerwin is no exception - though the lady I bought her from claimed she's a purebred tea cup Chihuahua, I'm not so sure, as she's about 10 pounds to big to be a tea cup by now at 9 months old, and she's still growing in different ways. You can imagine how hard it is to find a harness for a Chihuahua that oddly shaped - and collars are out for multiple reasons (one being that collars aren't the best idea for Chihuahuas, having a weak larynx - and two because my little pupper will chew on said collar and tags non-stop!). So after much searching I found this one, which had multiple adjustment points around the torso and most importantly, the chest. The only criticisms I have here are that the sizing is a bit odd, I originally ordered a size Small which fits her normal measurements - but when I received it, it ended up being absolutely huge on her. Thankfully Chewy was awesome about it when I emailed and gave me a full refund plus free shipping to order the next size down without having me ship in the old one. This means that I have a spare if Kerwin happens to grow into it (still a puppy after all) and if not I can go ahead and donate it. Very nice. I received the next size down, XSmall, within the next two days - much faster than anticipated which was also awesome - and tried it on. With quite a bit of experimenting and adjustments, it fits pretty well. Not perfectly, which brings me to my final criticism - the flap of material in the chest area. There is no way to tamp that down, and with a puppy that chews her harness no matter what I do, that material sticks out constantly. A slight annoyance if your OCD like me, but not a safety hazard or anything like that. Just wish there was some attached way to keep that flap of material in the chest tamped down. Still, it fits nicely and I think I'll be sticking with these harnesses for my odd shaped little Chi. One slight annoyance is not worth discounting the whole thing. Over all, if you've got an odd shaped pup, I highly recommend this. Just keep in mind that due to that flap in front, you may have to make it fit a bit more snugly than you'd like. Great harness, but...

This is a nice, lightweight, and seemingly comfortable harness for our 6 lb. chihuahua mix. My only complaint is the buckle, it's so hard to unclip. The biggest struggle with my dog, myself, and the harness is when I'm trying to unbuckle it to get him out of it. It may be that that type of buckle is inherently difficult to work, my fanny pack buckle gives me equal amount t of grief. Otherwise the harness is great.

Hi-Visibility is its best feature

At 5:45 AM, I strapped the harness on our 30 pound grey terrier mix for the first time, and off we set. It’s lightweight and easy to put on. Two of three similar Puppia harnesses have come unraveled at the chest seam within a year of purchase. Chewy kindly replaced the one I complained about.This time, the newspaper delivery guy came around the corner as we crossed the street and immediately saw us and slowed down. I remember thinking I may not love the harness, but it certainly improves visibility.

Missized

They must be made in different factories with different patterns. I ordered one size and the neck was too small and the strap ok ; Ordered the next size and the neck too large and the strap ok. I ordered the same model that I had before and the sizing runs different ; for the same model and runs different for different models. T am staying away from this brand;

Nice harness

I had this in yellow (now about 5 years old). The old one is still in very good condition, washes very nicely.I just got the sky blue for my baby - 15 lb. Cockapoo. Med. fits good. The neck strap is perfect. The adjustable chest strap is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. To make it fit perfectly, the plastic adjustable buckle ends up under the loop. This looks like it might be uncomfortable, so we leave it a little loose.

Harriet S in customer service was wonderful assistance when I purchased the wrong size. It’s a pleasure to do business with this company. It can be challenging to find the perfect harness, and this one certainly is the perfect one for our miniature schnauzer. We have used harnesses for all of our previous dogs, some can be complicated. This one is a soft yet strong material for her and not binding in any way especially around the neck, yet she has a secure fit with the buckle. Very happy with the colors, wish there was a neon purple.

Very disappointed!

I thought the Puppia harnesses would be perfect for my young puppy. I measured carefully, and ordered the small. When it got here, it was too tiny (could hardly get it over her head!) So next, I ordered the medium and large, figuring one of them would fit, and I would just donate everything else. Nope, the medium neck portion was too tight, and the large was just too big all over. I will keep trying the large, though, because I like the concept/style.
