PureVision2 contact lenses are high quality, super breathable extended wear contact lenses that can be worn for up to 29 nights if this wearing schedule is advised by your optician. Made from an ultra-breathable silicone hydrogel material, PureVision2 lenses allow three times more oxygen to reach the eyes than a traditional hydrogel contact lens. Designed to be worn for up to 29 nights consecutively, these lenses prioritise comfort for your eyes, allowing you to easily use them for hours at a time. Even in the most challenging environments, their unique design helps to stop them from drying out. This makes them ideal for anyone who spends long hours in front of a screen at work, or needs to concentrate on the road for a while. PureVision2 contact lenses are also designed to combat the common problem of spherical aberration. With traditional contact lenses this is the increased reflection of light that causes halo glares and vision to become blurred and unclear in certain light conditions. However with PureVision2 contact lenses this problem has been significantly reduced to give crisp, clear vision.

I have found these contacts to be far more comfortable to wear than other brands offered. I have less irritation and they do not move around in the eye as much. I do get a little irritation at night watching TV but this is probably from lack of eye movement and the eye drying.

So far so good. I was using Cooper vision Bio-infinity but they tear so easily I was going through a pair a week, instead of 6 months with their now discontinued Vertex lenses. Not sure how well these will last but they seem to be holding up and vision is excellent. I wanted to order the original Pure Vision because they are much thicker, but seems like they are also being discontinued. With silicon hydrogel's superior breath-ability there seems no need to keep making thinner and thinner lenses, unless the goal is to have them wear out faster to make more money. I can get original pure Vision here in the US, but have to pay for an new eye test every year by law, so that is why I ordered from the UK.

The Purevision 2 contacts are so easy to put in & take out & are so comfortable to wear, I'd be lost without them,, lol,, litterilly, I'm blind as a bat 😂 I've been using them for quite a few years now & would recommend them to everyone. The price has been creeping up a bit over the past couple of years making it harder for pensioners like me, but still a great product.

I've been wearing contact lens for about a decade now and have tried a handful of different products, usually going for whatever's on sale; these are probably the worst ones that I've tried so far. At the time of purchase, I needed a refill and these ones were on sale. The reviews were mixed and some had already pointed out that these contacts don't last as long as they should and that it gets uncomfortable very easily. Boy, were they right...They are not terrible, to be fair. I noticed that things were a bit clearer when I first put them on and that everything is alright during the first week or two. But the other thing I noticed was that they were slightly harder to put on than all my previous contacts; they're simply more rigid and flat. But the other thing I noticed was that they were slightly harder to put on than all my previous contacts; they're simply more rigid and flat. As a long time user, I could manage, but I think new or inexperienced users would have problems putting them on.But my two biggest criticism with these contacts centres around the theme of not lasting as long as they should. After the first couple of weeks, they become less comfortable and easily irritable. Because they were already rigid to start with, I'd notice that they would get slightly irritable about 6-8 hours into my day, which is much shorter than my past contacts. As the month goes on, the amount of discomfort and irritability gradually increases.Unfortunately, I bought a year's supply of these contacts in order to qualify for the free shipping so I'm stuck with them. I'll manage... But I'd advise against people buying these unless you've already had past experience with them and know what you're getting into, or have been specifically recommended. Just know what you might be getting into.
As soon as I began working (many years ago) the first thing I did was save for Contacts. When you have worn glasses for as long as you can remember (& the teasing that goes with them) they are one of the first things you want! I wore a variety of lenses over the years as my dry eye symptoms gradually got worse until I was finally unable to wear them any more & even had to have my tear ducts sealed in a effort to help. I even had one optometrist tell me I was going blind as they were so dry the cornea had wrinkled! From time to time I entertained the idea of getting them Lasered, but was too chicken. I kept an eye on research into new lenses until I struck an Optometrist who was willing to look at options with me. I kept an eye on research into new lenses until I struck an Optometrist who was willing to look at options with me. When we tried these lenses all my prayers were answered!! I can wear them all day in air conditioning, staring at a computer, with no drops! They are rated for overnight wear for a whole month, but my eyes are too dry for that. However the average user would probably be fine if they are this comfortable for me. But they don't rip my eyes out if I do happen to doze off for a while (which does happen from time to time at my age LOL)
I am a long time AirOptix wearer, but since it has acquired by Alcon I feel like quality has gone down. So I wanted to try other brands. First pair I tried was Biofinity which is the best lenses I've ever worn.Next I bought Purevision 2, mostly because I am a big fan of Bausch and Lombs multipurpose solutions.Vision is great on these lenses but it is not comfortable to wear. It is rated for 30 days continues wear, but you won't be wearing this for more than 2 days max. Also you'll have to clean it with a lubricating mutipurpose solution, Only thing that works for me is either BioTrue or ReNu, anything else after about 6 hours your eyes start to irritate. Also these lenses are very thin and lose shape very easily if you rub your eyes, expect the vision to be ... MoreI am a long time AirOptix wearer, but since it has acquired by Alcon I feel like quality has gone down. These lasted about two days before getting dry and fogging up after short periods of use. I had multiple boxes of these and it was the same for all. I've been wearing contacts for 25 years and have never used a brand as bad as this one.
The contacts are extended wear for up to 30 days although if you were too sleep in then for a night I would wake up with them moving in my eyes each time I'd blink and eventually falling out of lead to me ripping them out because of its irritation. I bought the contacts under the assumption that they could be worn during sleep and for this reason I bought this brand instead of my usual $20 pack, but what I found is that the cheaper contact lenses lasted longer and didn't fall out of my eyes or move every time I blinked if I were to sleep in them! And although your not meant to wear contacts during your sleep I found myself falling asleep with them on to much and needed a solution, but don't advertise these contacts for extended use if they don't work and of your ... MoreThe contacts are extended wear for up to 30 days although if you were too sleep in then for a night I would wake up with them moving in my eyes each time I'd blink and eventually falling out of lead to me ripping them out because of its irritation. Also my 3 month supply lasted me less then a week and I've been wearing contacts for 3 years and have never been more shocked by these contacts and how overall terrible they were. Disappointed.
terrible contacts, was not able to see clearly at all wearing them with the same prescription usually worn with another brand. thought maybe the first pair was defected or smth but no, the second one was the same. money lost. don't buy, very dissapointed(
My last eye doctor forced these on me. For some reason there's a conspiracy in the last few years against extended wear contacts. Honestly if they keep giving me trouble I will end up biting the bullet and getting Lasik, even though surgery freaks me out I'm sick of being forced into these awful thin contacts that I have to take out and clean every day.She told me these were the improved version of the PureVision contact lenses, my holy grail brand. I found out after I bought 8 boxes that these are meant to be REMOVED DAILY.So be careful if they're trying to switch you from 30 day night/day extended wear, sleep in, contacts to these things. They are too thin, don't hold enough moisture, aviod.
