I always want to make sure I am feeding my pets good quality food that they enjoy but I wanted to see if there was something I could give to our kitten to help with my allergies. I haven’t ever owned a cat but my fiancé loves them. We hadn’t gotten a cat because I have pretty bad allergies. However, we decided to give it a shot to see how I do. My daughter is allergic to kittens. Not cats! Just kittens. We’ve always had cats and she’s been fine. We got her a kitten in December, and she was pretty allergic. Most concerning was a cough that accompanied the sneezing and itchy eyes. After 3 weeks of giving her kitten this food, her allergies were gone. Then about 4 weeks ago we found a second kitten outside. Brought her home and my daughter’s allergies started up again. We started the kitten on this food and like clockwork, after about 3 weeks my daughter is now fine again. I offer it as their main food but I do give them plenty of wet food in the AM and PM. Without this food I don’t think we could keep the kittens!

Cat allergies are caused by a protein called Fel d 1 which is present in cat saliva (and then gets spread onto the fur as your cat cleans itself). LiveClear contains egg-derived antibodies (proteins) which bind to the Fel d 1 in your cat's saliva and neutralize it. LiveClear has to be free fed so that there is always some antibodies from the food in your cat's mouth to neutralize the new Fel d 1 that is constantly being produced. If your cat is unable to graze throughout the day or needs to be fed in portioned meals, the anti-allergy effect will not be as pronounced.

It arrived in a lovely resealable bag that has the snaps on the corner (personally I prefer to reseal with stickers) this kept the food nice and fresh.The food was smaller bite sizes which I think is much nicer for kittens and cats alike as they have such small mouths. The food didn’t smell awful like a lot of dry foods do. I put the food down for my kitten she had a sniff and then devoured the food. My kitten will eat almost anything... except her actual kitten food. This food, however, is something she loves! The pieces are small so that she cannot eat too much at once and make herself sick, the size of the kibble really helps slow them down and (I hope) will prevent any blockages or choking.I think that my kitten's health is improving and she is much less gassy since we changed her food over, (or she's just less smelly!). I adopted my first kitten (long-hair) recently and was never allergic to cats, but I was with her. Allergies intensity level was about 8/10. I had a stuffy nose, irritated nasal, and slight wheezing. After feeding her this for one week, I noticed my allergies decrease to maybe a 3/10. It has been 4 months now and I rarely even notice any allergy symptoms. Sometimes my allergies will flare up a bit if I’m holding her super closely, spending a lot of time with her, or if she’s dirtier than usual, etc but I’m essentially allergy free after feeding this. It’s a bit expensive but it’s definitely worth it. I just wish they had more flavors!
