'Not for lab use.' 😂 That disclaimer kinda cracks me up. I love these measuring cups. I use them everyday for one thing or another. The glass doesn't stain, the measurement markers don't fade, they're tempered so I can put boiling hot water in them without worrying about shattering them, and they're microwave safe. A small but worthwhile investment for anyone's kitchen. Highly recommended. Made in the 🇺🇸 USA 🇺🇸 baby! Sorry about the double photo. There seems to be a glitch. I only uploaded the lab disclaimer photo once. #kitchenstaples #Pyrex #baking #cooking

I added a measure of consistency to my kitcken with these sturdy and easy-to-read pyrex glass measuring cups. My new Pyrex 4-piece measuring cup set saves me time and also less dishes to wash. You can melt butter, chocolate and more right in the cup. Easy to grab handles, easy to mix, easy to pour. The capacity and dimensions are perfect for everything I need to do when baking and cooking. 8 cup 10" diameter × 5.5" high, 4 cups 8" diameter × 4.5" high, 2 cup 6.5" diameter 3.5" high and 1 cup 6" diameter × 3.5" high. I love them so much! I purchased myself an early Valentine's Day gift. They are the very best gift to give to family and friends, even if they don't bake or cook a lot. It is better to have them and not need them, than need them and not have them. Smiles

I have always used Pyrex for dishware and jugs for my kitchen. I am familiar with the brand from my mum always using their products so they have been used a lot in my lifetime. They are a strong, versatile and very reliable brand and I love this jug, it’s my favourite that I’ve ever used. I’ve dropped it many times but it’s never smashed!! I highly recommend if your looking for something that lasts a long time as I still use my mums Pyrex items that are 40years old and still going strong!

I purchased this Pyrex measuring cup with the expectation of it being the same quality as the ones I have used for 49 years. However, after less than a year of using it the lettering started fading. After a year it is unreadable. I reached out to the seller and because it is past 39 days they are not going to replace or refund. I don’t know how I could have known how bad it was going to be after only 30 days. I expected more from the Pyrex brand but I guess they don’t make them like they used to.
Well a measuring cup where you can't read the measurements isn't much use at all. I bought this to replace an identical Pyrex measuring cup that I've had for years that got chipped. Within a month, going in the top rack of the dishwasher only a few times, the markings became nearly unreadable. I do put it in the microwave regularly to make a water bath for baby bottles but that seems like pretty standard use. My mom has a Pyrex measuring cup that is literally decades old and looks well loved but the markings are still very legible. I see I'm not the only one with this complaint.
I purchased my new Pyrex 4 cup liquid measuring cup from Walmart, as my old one, (which lasted forever) was showing heavy signs of wear, making the measurements very difficult to read. Not impossible, but straining for the eyes. I put my new PYREX glass measuring cup to work the next day and made a batch of dough for 6 loaves of bread. The dough was the worst I had EVER made. I was left scratching my head, wondering what I did wrong. After a bit of thought, I realized there was only one thing I had done differently- used my new measuring cup. I still had my old one so I brought it out. I filled my new one to 1 1/3 cup. Then I very carefully transferred the water to the old Pyrex measuring cup- and there it was! I still had my old one so I brought it out. I filled my new one to 1 1/3 cup. Then I very carefully transferred the water to the old Pyrex measuring cup- and there it was! I don’t know how or why they could be so far out from each other but when I transferred it to the old one, the level never even came up to the 1 cup measuring line! I’ve trusted Pyrex for years and of course when I bought my new one, I immediately removed all of the tags/stickers and washed it- so this is no longer a returnable item. I now have a completely useless liquid measuring cup and 6 loaves of “bread” that might be ok for croutons or stuffing at best. Including a photo of where it came to in my old liquid measure. This is definitely one thing I purchase, fully trusting that because of the name, that I could trust it and that it could last for as many years as my old one. The new one was a bust from the start. So bakers beware. I was fooled- please don’t think you suddenly can’t bake.
Pyrex has a reputation of being durable. Their products are things you get at your wedding and don't have to replace for decades or ever. Well, I bought this measuring cup and have used it maybe 4 times and it has already broken. Their manufacturing has doubtless shipped overseas with the pricing and quality as low as it is. And their "limited warranty" doesn't cover the break. They are literally ruining their own name.
I love pyrex measuring cups. I've had one for over 12 years. However, the measurement markings faded over time so I recently ordered new ones. When I opened the box, I was disappointment to find that one of the cups did NOT have measurements on it. It was completely blank. I looked back at my order and all 3 cups should have measurement markings. So I will be returning because one of them it is flawed.
I purchased this measuring cup for two things: to measure liquids and to carefully pour those liquids into my dishes. This product does one of those two things well. The first recipe I tried to make requires one to measure the broth and add it slowly into the dish. The spout on this cup is incapable of slowly pouring water. Instead, it dribbles down the front of the cup and onto the counter/stove/floor. I've only had it for a month, so I can't speak to the longevity of the markings. I bought this one to replace my old Anchor Hawking measuring cup that was no longer legible. Does anyone make embossed measuring cups anymore?
